Great Product September 5, 2006 Ann V. 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I use StompSoft's Digital Vault for my laptop because of the strong 256 bit blowfish encryption algorithm it uses. I was at a loss for what product to use on my laptop, especially since I take it during air travel, but I bought this product after a friend suggested it. I use this product to encrypt my pictures. I've been very pleased with its' performance just like the other products I use from this manufacturer.
Saved My Rear End September 11, 2006 J. Dale 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Digital vault is a lifesaver. I store sensitive proprietary information on my computer and everything is protected with Digital Vault. I was throwing a surprise party for my brother and one of the people we invited works for one of my competitors. I found her in my office during the party and she was on my computer. She said she had to check her email, but I think she was sneaking around trying to get proprietary information off my hard drive. Thanks to Digital Vault, she obviously didn't get what she was looking for.
Dangerously bad software April 9, 2007 A. Mandadi (Houston, TX United States) It won't reliably encrypt and decrypt for me. Attempts to decrypt have resulted in the error message "An unexpected error occurred while Decrypting (filename). Would you like to retry?" Pressing Yes just sends it into infinite loop: the files never get decrypted, and so they are lost. Even when it DOES tell me that it has decrypted successfully and no error messages are generated, the files still do not re-appear in the directory tree, so they remain inaccessible. This is probably the worst software I've ever purchased.
