A physical copy of the help sections available on the respective programs January 14, 2007 Samantha Sweeney 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
This book combination is just a physical copy of the "help" available on the respective programs. It does include lessons to accompany the information. These lessons are very similar to the tutorials that came with the program. The book would be helpful to any individual purchasing these programs to do primarily digital photo editing. If, however, you are interested in using Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements to prepare custom graphics and menus, this book is not a great resource. The software is great; the book written for the software is not so great.
Fair starter book for Premiere Elements 3.0 February 4, 2007 Richard Eltzroth (Cotopaxi, Colorado United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I got this book because it was currently the only thing available for Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0. Since the User Manual that came with Elements was so brief and I'd never used Elements before, I definitely needed additional instruction. (I didn't need anything for Photoshop Elements since I've already learned Photoshop CS). This book does supply additional instruction for Premiere Elements beyond the Help that comes with the program. The lessons on the included DVD are pretty good for the novice (me). Upon completion of the lessons, you should be able to convert your raw camcorder footage into a pretty presentable DVD program. Having to pay for the unnecessary (at least for me) Photoshop Elements portion of the book was somewhat annoying.
Classroom in a book... February 17, 2007 J. E. Mendoza 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I always wanted to learn the basics of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements and their use. I purchased this item with that purpose in mind and I got everything I wanted and then some. Great for beginners and serves as a good reference tool in my library for photo and video editing. Tip: follow instructions to the "T" and you will get great results. I finished all the lessons in book and in the end I wanted MORE. Adobe Creative Team did well and I thank you. Price is very good as well.
Excellent Introductory Book February 12, 2007 Richard D. Heath (Saint Cloud, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is absolutely necessary if you are new to Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. Easy to follow and relatively complete.
Best Classroom in a Book Evert! March 9, 2007 Sherry Royce (PA, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used Adobe's Classroom in a Book for many different programs over the years and this dual program collection is perhaps the best I have ever seen. It ties together Photoshop Elements which I have been using since the Elements 2 edition with Premiere, which is for me an introduction to editing videos and CDs. I especially like the online videos that purchasers of Photoshop and Premiere Elements can access. Please keep these training sessions coming. SJRoyce
