Product Description BARSKA's Point 'N View is a state-of-the-art integration of a high quality roof prism binocular and digital camera that is equally at home on a nature outing, sporting event, or vacation. Instead of packing a separate binocular and digital camera, Point 'N View gives you the convenience of both in one compact device. Each Point 'N View model is packed with features that allow you to see, save, and share your special moments with friends and family. Simply look through the binoculars and record the scene with the digital camera. It's that simple. You can even record video! This Point 'N View model allows you to add a high capacity SD card for even more image storage capacity.

barska, point n' view 5.0 MP December 28, 2007 Ted Morse 15 out of 19 found this review helpful
Seems to work ok. They don't say in the info that you need to purchase an SD card to make it work. They make it sound optional. A big disappointment to someone when you give the camera to them for Xmas, and you don't have an SD card to make it work! Also, the instructions are not all that clear either. Nowhere in them do they say what to do to take a picture!
2 that would not work!!! February 26, 2008 Richard N. Koger (TN) 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
I received the first one and it had batteries already installled and corroded. I received the second one and it would not come on due to the battery terminals were under the housing which occured during assembly. Amazon stated that they had several returns of this item and no more were available!

We bought this item for travel. We tried it before we left and the pictures are very low-quality, it works 'ok' during the day, can't see a thing at night. We ended up leaving it at home, haven't used it in 6 months!

I bought this item earlier in July 2008, & I did get the 2GB mem card also. The binoculars were not in focus when it arrived. The focal length was off so you couldn't get both eyes in focus at the same time and the left eye prism was ascew so you would see two views instead of one. I was able to take the item apart and properly align the optics, and now the whole thing works great, and the camera takes hi quality pics @ all 4 settings. @ $30 an hour, I figure Barska owes me $45 for repairing their pour labor. I'm taking this Item to Alaska this fall, and I'll post a good pic when I get back.
