5 out of 5 stars Quite powerful, very accurate, great price   February 26, 2007

I got this gun a few days ago and haven't been able to put it down. The accuracy is quite amazing, once the sights and hop up have been adjusted. Indoors from close range (20-30 feet) you can place shots with complete precision. Outdoors and at longer range becomes slightly more complicated (especially when wind is a factor), however, at 40-50yards I was able (after a few range finding shots) to hit a 2' square target. The gun is very powerful, and does leave significant welts from close range, and breaks skin from point blank. However, clothing greatly dissipates the force, to the point where you still feel the shot, but aren't marked. The gun seems to be very sturdy (apart from the sling holders which are rather flimsy plastic) and all the parts of the firing mechanism are metal, which is good since it takes significant force to cock. The real M14 was used primarily for sniping, and this replica certainly lives up to that standard.

5 out of 5 stars First airsoft gun, and amazing   March 11, 2007

This is the first airsoft gun I have ever owned (and used), and I am impressed. It is no where near as powerful as the guns I usually use (air guns), nor is it supposed to be. I haven't used it to shoot my friends yet (my friend gets very jumpy if I point this at him) so I have been using it to blow useless cd's to pieces, punch holes in siding, blow soda cans, and blast dead light bulbs to bits. All from at least 20ft away. The accuracy is great, the power is excellent, and the gun looks and feels real, what more could you expect for $39? Also, the included speed loader is a godsend, this gun would suck if it didn't come with it.

5 out of 5 stars The GREATEST gun i have ever had!!   June 26, 2007

I bought this gun about a week ago, a WOW i was impressed. When i took it out of the box it looks really reliable and sturdy. I loaded it up and took a shot. It has amazing accuracy! With a little tinkering w/ the hop up i got it to where i could shoot a can at 30 feet away. And it HURTS. I broke my friends skin at 20 feet away. It is a great gun.

Pros-More than i can list

realistic feel

sturdy

accurate

great mag capacity

Cons-Very Few

heavy

Tactical rail blocks sights

Well, if you are considering buying this gun, dont go back. It is the best airsoft gun i have bought yet. One problem though, i am not yet able to find extra mags for this gun. So, if anyone finds one, please email me @ the_emster_5@hotmail.com

Thanx VB for making a great product.

5 out of 5 stars The M14 Sniper Rifle - The Ideal Airsoft Gun for the Beginner!   May 15, 2007

The M14 Sniper Rifle has to be the best airsoft gun I have ever bought. I only started airsoft about 5 months ago, but still know what I'm talking about with this work of art!
It weighs alot, surprisingly: about 12 lbs. But that just makes it even more realistic!
It also has some cool sights that have windage and elevation adjustables, and has the best accuracy I have ever seen on an airsoft rifle of this price. It can shoot about 100 feet accurately, and wind isnt anything to worry about. This baby comes with adjustable hop up, which lets you completly level out how much "hop" you need, depending on the wind speed.
Another great thing about this rifle is that it has very realistic details made into it - its an almost exact replica!
The clip holds 37 rounds, as well, which means you won't need your speedloader handy for awhile.

Now, for the bad news. There are, surprisingly, some bad things about this gun as well.
First of all, it does drift alot, unless you use .2 gram bbs instead of the usual .12 gram bbs. .2 grams are a big hassle to find around where I live, so I know I wont be buying any.
Another con about this gun is that its too heavy for most airsoft straps! When I was walking around with it before a battle, with it strapped over my shoulder, it snapped! The gun fell to the floor, but luckily didn't break because of the great sturdiness!
The third con of this rifle is that it is very hard to run with because of the great weight, but this is okay because snipers usually don't have to run!
And finally, the final con of the M14 Sniper Rifle is that the screw on 3 side rail system, when on the rifle, blocks the sights! This makes it almost impossible to aim with. So you have a decision - keep the sights or the accessories? I chose the sights, because I won't need a flashlight or scope. What I would reccomend, though this may sound corny, is to use black electric tape to tape it onto you gun. It personally worked fine for me.

Thank you for reading my article, and I hope you see past the minor cons and buy this rifle!

5 out of 5 stars one of the best snipers for under $70   January 12, 2007

i got this gun today, and after i opened it, i instantly fell in love with it it is not too heavy, but feels very real. accuracy with the included .2 bbs is amazing, the 37 round magazine is more than enough. if you really need a bigger clip, than your not a sniper. the hop up is under the gun, and after a little bit of use, it is easy to use. the cocking mechanism is a little difficult to get used to but i already did. if your looking for a decent sniper rifle thats under 100 dollars this is it.its only 60 and some change with the shipping. i highly recommend this gun
