5 out of 5 stars Sweet Seat   March 24, 2008

Wow! I finally found the correct replacement seat for my 2008 Specialized CrossTrail Expert bike.

I made a mistake and bought a different Cloud 9 seat that was very wrong for me (way too wide and was quite firm). But this one is AWESOME. It looks sleek and matches my paint job. I have ridden on it quite a bit now and am very pleased. Was hesitant on buying it because there were no reviews yet. Guess there was no need to worry.

I used to brace myself and put a lot of weight on the pedals in anticipation of hitting bumps and rough spots with the rear wheel after I would feel something pass under the front suspension wheel. It just hurt so bad. But now with this seat I don't have to worry. It takes impact very well and is like having rear suspension on my bike.

Please look at the customer pictures for installed images.

Well, I was very impressed with this saddle. Planning a low budget tour from Mexico to Springfield Missouri I needed be frugal and was nervous about buying a $20 seat, but it was what I could afford. But I don't really know what benefits a more expensive seat would hold because even riding for 14 hours straight one day, my rear stayed quite comfortable. The center groove allowed for proper weight placement, the shocks were great, lycra is always nice and it looks good on my bike; it's not too big. Me and my cheeks were very pleased with this product.

5 out of 5 stars No more pain!   June 20, 2008

Got one of these for me and my wife (women's version) because every time we went for a ride after about a half hour it was majorly uncomfortable...

We've been riding on these saddles for 2 weeks now and keep noting how it's so much more fun to ride without the 'back pain'!

This did the trick for us!

4 out of 5 stars Comfortable seat with spring   June 19, 2008

This seat is very comfortable for my short commute ride. The stock seat on my bike was killing my sensitive area, but now the pain is gone with this new seat.
It is wide enough to let me sit up right. I do need to level the seat and raise my stem.
One shortage: the supporting rail underneath is a little too wide for my saddle post fixture. Had to squeeze the rails with tool during installation.

I've tried three diffrent seats. I went from riding 3 miles at a time to 9 miles. could have gone further. Nice seat!
UPDATE! I've now gone 1000 miles on it. After 44 miles, it became very painfull!
It took two days of adjustments-up, down, forward, back, tilt forward, tilt back. 3 mile test rides after each adjustment. It finally feels right. No pain. No numbness. No aching knees. I wish there was a way to try out seats before you buy them. All in all, I am finally satisfied. After reading the articles online about selecting a saddle and adjusting it, I think I got it right.
