Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Lots of jumping fun for one! Mini, 38" trampoline features tension bands, a durable powder-coated steel frame and a sturdy polypropylene surface. Measures 38" in diameter x 13" high.

Editorial Review
Bounce your way to fitness and fun on this durable, springless mini-trampoline. Using super-strong elasticized bands of webbing instead of potentially dangerous metal springs, this tramp provides a high intensity, low impact workout as well as a great indoor activity for rowdy kids. Standing at about 9 inches high by 38 inches round (slightly larger than conventional 36-inch jogger trampolines) it features a durable polypropylene jumping mat; a sewn-on, thickly padded stretch-band cover for its no-pinch springs; large rubber feet for stability; and a rust-resistant frame. This tramp is also completely collapsible for convenience and easy storage--always a welcome feature. Although the larger springless trampolines have been criticized for not being as bouncy as conventional metal-spring ones, safety is perhaps a greater consideration for a mini-trampoline such as this that will be used indoors. --Deb Oroszlan

4 out of 5 stars Great starter trampoline   July 5, 2003

I bought this for my "just-turned" four-year-old son who, like most boys, loves to jump on the sofa, the bed and anything that looks a little bouncy.
It was easy to set up (it says you need three adults but my husband and I did it easily). It appears well crafted and durable -- time will tell.
The directions say that it is good for up to 200 lbs.
My 37 lb son had a lot of fun jumping right away, although he did not jump as high as one thinks of with a trampoline. But for a small, indoor trampoline, I don't think you want your children flying too high. I also think that as his weight and ability increase, he will get more bounce out of it.
My biggest reasons for buying it are the safety (no springs, padded edge) and the size. I can easily remove the feet and slip it under a bed.
On a really hot day, we can still burn off extra energy inside.
We put a chair at the edge (turned around) and he then had a handle to hold while jumping.
Safety is a big factor with any toy that increases the movement of your child so we went over all the safety rules before he took one step on. I think that any toy is as safe as its surroundings, supervision and appropriate use.
We also have the Jump-o-lene (an inflatable jumping toy). Although we enjoy that as well, it takes up a lot of room and requires a lot of push to gain any bounce. I am hoping this is the next step up in strengthening leg muscles and increasing one, and two footed coordination.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product and Value   December 19, 2007

I use this minitrampoline for cardio exercise (jogging in place) when the outside temperature, or my knees, tell me not to run.

This is my second mini-trampoline. The first one used springs instead of the elastic bands. The spring design sucked. I trained for a marathon and put many hours on it. I decided it was unsafe to use after the 4th spring broke (from fatigue or friction - probably a combination of both). I bought replacement springs and discovered one needs a special tool or superhuman strength to put them on.

That's when I discovered the design was changed to incorporate bands, replacing the springs. Much better. I happily purchased the newly designed unit for which this review is written. I have put many many hours on this new "band" unit and so far no problems.

The instructions for this product actually call for THREE people to put it together. My boyfriend and I managed to do it with two, after about 45 minutes and a great fear of losing our eyes. If you do buy this (which I do not recommend), put it together on a carpeted area, that seemed to help us. I will NEVER take it apart for storage - first, because I'm scared, and second, because it will take days to put it back together. Also, at one of the places where it had been welded, it is rusting AND one of the legs was too big to screw onto it's peg. Oh - and there is an unadvertised weight limit of 200lbs - so you can only use this if you just sort of need it, not if you really need it.

4 out of 5 stars Solid, great value, bit of a challenge to assemble   September 14, 2007

If you want a mini-trampoline, I can recommend this one. It is built like a battleship, but assembly is non-trivial -- you need at least two adults (the instructions recommend three) to fight against the tension to pop everything in place. No big deal, but you are not going to put this together by yourself -- you can hurt yourself if something pops back due to the high tensions involved. The instruction book could use larger and clearer pictures. The legs screw on, and one of the legs in mine was slightly out-of-round, making for some stiff turning, but I got it on. There is an 800 number to call the manufacturer for any problems. I didn't need to call. We like this mini-trampoline.

We got this for our 3y/o son to have indoors during the winter. We have a large outdoor one for the summer, that the kids love. This is the perfect one to have for indoors to get some exercise. It is not too big so there is less chance for injuries, and it is easy for my son to use.
