This Yakima roof rack system works great and I highly recommend it. The Fairing definitely makes the ride a lot quieter, anyone who doesn't like "wooshing" should buy one without hesitation. I bought one for my Mazda 3 and have used it, along with a Yakima roof rack for 2 cross country ski trips (I live a Florida, skiing is far away). The rack hasn't shifted an inch and was relatively easy to install. Yakima has a product guide on their site to make sure you order the right pieces for your model car.

I always hear a whistling sound on my roof rack whenever i go to the freeways. With this product it really eliminates that irritating noise.

Easy to install.
Significant reduction in wind noise with the fairing than without.
A must buy if installing a roof rack!

I bought the Yakima rack to carry my kayak and love it. But when I have taken the fairing off the wind noise is terrible and it feel like the truck is being jerked all over the road by the wind. I would not buy a rack without getting the fairing to go with it. It's well worth the price and I can only assume it is saving me gas as well.

as others have said, this product does a remarkable job of eliminating wind noise and turbulence generated by Yakima roof racks. Remarkably, it even works with a canoe on the rack, which was quite unexpected. This is a must-have product for any yakima roof rack. The service and price were excellent as well.
