Product Description Yaktrax are compact and light, and the patented design makes them a user-friendly solution to ice and snow. It offers the same solid, predictable grip you are accustomed to feeling on dry surfaces. When you walk or run with Yaktrax, hundreds of biting edges come in direct contact with the ice beneath your feet. There is nothing new to learn, just walk as you normally would and experience stability on ice and snow like you have never felt before.

Excellent! Improve your SAFETY during winter walks December 21, 2005 Kim Voss (Waupaca, WI United States) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
bought 2 pairs for my walking partner and self. They are awesome! We tried cheaper versions last winter and spent most of the time trying to keep them on our shoes. The YAKTRAX pro has a strap over the toes helps keep them in place. We walk on ice, snow, shoveled walks, streets and they keep you from slipping. Be careful on tile or flooring in your house - then they are slippery. One of us had shoes with an opening in the sole that created a pocket for snow build up - once the shoes were changed to a flatter bottom - no more build up. I love them and considering the cost of an injury without them think they are well worth the money.
A MUST FOR WINTER! December 10, 2005 New Jersey (New Jersey) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I purchased the Yaktrax Pro for myself and the Yaktrax for my child. They are wonderful! Having a herniated disk, I take risks walking on ice and snow and feel much more confident when wearing my Yaktrax. The Yaktrax help decrease the chances of falling and/or slipping on ice and snow. I will never do without them! They are not for indoor use. One less star due to the Yaktrax Pro being on the pricey side.
Avoid slipping and falling in the ice and snow.... January 16, 2006 George R. Johnson (Quincy, MA United States) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
These are great! I got a pair for Christmas from one of my scouts and used it for the first time on a recent camping trip to New Hampshire. What a difference! Walking down a road with solid ice underneath and fresh snow on top was as sure footed as if the conditions were warm and dry... Came back and immediately bought another pair for my father in law who is recovering from a broken leg when he fell (on the ice) last winter... A great investment if you ever have to walk on snow or ice...
JSontag January 5, 2007 Joseph Sontag (Colorado Springs, CO) 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
I purchased this product to use while shoveling or snow blowing snow from from driveway. By the third time I was outside using them, two of the rubber bands broke. In addition, several of the coiled springs came off the rubber supports and were bent by walking on them. The product is not well designed because the rubber bands extend under the shoe and are easily worn and broken by the surfaces they touch. For a few dollars more, there are several other products available that are clearly better designed for durability.
Good, but not great February 16, 2007 momo617 (Boston, MA) 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I just bought two of these after reading all the reviews on this site and others. After getting hit with an ice storm, I put these on. They do grip on some snow and ice, however not entirely. I still had to be careful walking down the hill, and every now and then I felt myself slipping. I was warned not to wear them on indoor surfaces, but having to catch the train, I left them on. When I got off the train and onto the clean platform, I fell really hard and got bruised up! So please, wear them outside, and once indoors - take them off!
