Product Description Stainless Steel with latex coating.
Product Description Speedo's competiton-style nose clip is used by most synchronized swimmers. It is constructed of a rubber-coated stainless steel and has a low-profile fit for added comfort. About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn't take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it's manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange. Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits. Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland's Inge de Bruijn.

These do work well. July 20, 2006 krys0100 (Minneapolis, MN United States) 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
As a syncronized swimmer, I have used almost all of the brands of noseplugs out there. These are the best that I have found. They stay on when your upside-down, jumping in and out of the water, and even usually stay on when i get hit in the face. I've never had a problem with these, they keep the water out very well and stay on tight. If they are too tight or too lose, just bend it a little bit to fit.
comfy and effective November 2, 2006 Markus Lofstrom (Seattle, WA USA) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I used these nose clips when diving for sponges off the coast of Belize. I was able to wear them for over two hours without discomfort. Not a drop of water in my nose. My only complaint is that the color is unattractive.
Best Nose Clip I've Found June 16, 2007 O. Brown (Twopeas, WA) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
***** I'm not a swimmer, but I use this nose clip to keep the air out of my nose so that I don't taste the oil I drink on a special diet I am on. I need to have a very tight seal or I will be able to taste the oil. I have experimented with several kinds of nose clips, and this one is absolutely the tightest seal. It is very strong, but not uncomfortable to wear. I'd thought a nose clip with a silicone pad would be more comfortable, but for me it's about the same, minus the tight seal of the Speedo. Although it is not as attractive as many of the other nose clips, I need effectiveness most of all, so I stick with Speedo. *****

The nose clips of choice for modified SLD August 30, 2006 S. Marsh (Dreamlands) 4 out of 12 found this review helpful
For reasons that are obscure, a fair number of people lose weight if they use nose clips. No one is sure why, but for the people who are using SLD methods, including nose clips, this brand of nose clip is the nose clip of choice. So far there are about forty people experimenting with nose clips, and for what it is worth, they seem to be losing weight best with speedo. I'm nonplussed by it, but if you are browsing around for SLD method weight loss and have come to this advertisement, you've found the nose clips on Amazon that everyone else bought.
