| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Cho-Pat's patented Dual Action Knee Strap provides an extra dimension of relief for painful and weakened knees. The strap applies pressure upon the patellar tendon below the kneecap to stabilize and tighten up the kneecap mechanism, which improves patellar tracking and elevation and reduces patellar subluxation. It adds further strengthening to the kneecap mechanism by applying pressure on the tendon above the kneecap as well. This tends to reduce the forces of the quadriceps on the patella tendon and erosion of the undersurface of the kneecap due to a possible misalignment of the quadriceps (Q angle). The devices design and construction apply constant dynamic forces to the surrounding areas of the knee reducing the likelihood of overuse syndromes. At the same time, the strap allows for full mobility while providing maximum benefits.

It works for me August 29, 2007 H. Clifford 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
First prescribed and issued to me by my physical therapist. Worked well enough that I stopped going to the doctor and therapist. Lost it, knee worsened, found best price at Amazon. This thing seems to take the place of weakened ligaments, tightens-up the knee and kneecap. Problems with walking and stairs are gone. Comfortable to wear, easy to put on. Have tried several over-the-counter braces, none match this for comfort and effect. Thinking about one for the other knee. Seller delivered on time and as described.
A must have for Chondromalacia/Patella problems February 16, 2007 P-Train (Chicago, IL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have patellar tendinitis from playing too much volleyball on hard gym floors, and I started wearing Cho-Pat straps a long time ago. They are simply a must-have for anyone who has patella problems, and the dual action strap is both comfortable and extremely supportive. It is simply the best knee device of its kind on the market.
You Will Never Regret This Purchase April 16, 2007 Pamela A. Lach (Michigan, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have had knee injuries in the past, then last fall I had a break at the tib/fib behind the patella. I have had all kinds of braces and supports recommended to me. NONE of them helped much at all. It still hurt to walk most days, no matter how much physical therapy/activity I tried. I bought this and have had it only one week. I cannot believe the difference---from day one! It provides unbelievable support that allows me to walk and bicycle and everything else, without constant debilitating pain. Don't waste your money on the other stuff, you will never regret this purchase.
excellent device January 3, 2007 Francisco Manansala 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
i've used this for over 3 years. Gives excellent support for "loose" knees by stabalizing tendons in upper and lower areas of the knee cap.
Incredible Product March 22, 2008 R. Del Cid (Southern Indiana) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have knee tracking issues in my left knee, and even walking up a slight incline causes pain. I've worn a whole slew of different knee braces to allow me to continue running pain free, but ALL of the braces I used, would slip down my leg or impede the proper tracking of my knee. I've been wanting to purchase the Cho Pat dual strap for some time now but figured the $20 knee brace at the sporting goods store would suffice; no way. This is extremely comfortable compared to all other braces I've worn. You don't have to pull the straps so tight that they cut off circulation, just to get it to stay in place. I just went running with it on, and it made a world of difference with my knee tracking. It did feel like it was slipping every now and then, but once there's moisture underneath the strap, it's pretty locked in place. I feel like I've been given a second chance at running with this on. Just make sure if you order one, you get the size right. I'm right at a 16" circ. on my knee and thought the Large size would make the most sense; now I have some extra length of strap hanging off.
