I think my regular hat size is about 7 3/8 and this fits a little snug, but not uncomfortable. The material is nice and thick and it is well put together. I may have to get a lighter weight hat for summer though, as this may be too thick for warmer weather. Great value!

This hat was a gift to our 7 year old grandson, a Georgia fan. He loved the hat and would not take it off for days. It fit him well, although he is big for his age. It might be a little big for some kids. But the quality is excellent, the colors bright and true, and it's an exceptional value. I think it depends on what style of hat you prefer whether you would like this one, since it is wool and therefore a little heavier than a cotton cap. But that did not seem to matter to our grandson.
