NOT AS GOOD AS ALL THE HYPE February 23, 2008 J. THELEN (tx) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Boy, this is the first time I've ever been disappointed in reviews by amazon customers. I was so excited to get these nutritious bars, I made the mistake of ordering 4 boxes. Basically all 4 of my kids have turned their noses up on every variety of these bars. My children are not picky eaters either. They love all their fruits and veggies including broccoli and asparagus and I thought these would be well received, they were not. I decided to try a little of each variety and unless I'm absolutely starving, they are not very good. The only thing in this world I will not eat is sushi and liver, so I'm certainly not picky either. Don't make the same mistake I made. Go to Walmart first and try a bar for $.80 before buying stock in them like me :-)
My family loves these August 31, 2007 third time mom (Naperville, IL United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought these for my 6 and 8 year old to take to school for snacks. Yes, they are quite a bit more expensive than, say, a Quaker granola bar, but you get what you pay for. These bars taste great (so say the 6 yo, 8yo, their 2yo brother, Dad, and Mom). But more importantly there are no high fructose corn syrups, no trans fats, they've got a nice bit of fiber (3g), a decent amount of protein (3g) and not too much sugar (11g). At 1.27 ounces, they are substantial without being so filling that a meal is ruined. I will buy again and again.
These are awesome, I eat one everyday. July 19, 2007 J. Parry (Albuquerque, NM) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These bars are very tasty. I take one to work for a snack everyday. I love the variety pack b/c if I get a big box of one flavor I'll get sick of it.
Healthy, loved and a good value... June 13, 2008 J. Villeneuve (Newtown, CT USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I guess the most important thing to start with is - my kids LOVE Z-Bars. They were introduced to these early and as far as they know, this is what granola/snack bars are. They find other, more sugar-laden, bars a little too much. I was pleasantly surprised to find this and am more than happy to ply them with this healthier alternative. These are a great tasty snack and pretty portable. They only suffer in the hot weather when they get a melty. Otherwise, they hold the kids over from 10AM to lunch on most days. Also, the 140 calories makes them a nice snack for adults too when you're not up for a 200+ calorie bar. I guess it's important to note the price as well. The value is great (especially if you subscribe) for a this amount of bars. But, I repeat, the kids LOVE them - 5-stars!
Kid Clif Z Bars - great price, great taste! December 14, 2007 J. Meisenheimer (Dallas, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have never left a review before, but felt compelled to say the price that Amazon offers through this auto ship feature is great. It's much less expensive than what these cost in store. Also, these bars are a great nutritional substitute for sugary cereal or granola bars & are even good for "grown up" dieters for a snack/meal substitution. The nutritional values are similar to bars from Medifast. I'll definitely keep them on the Amazon auto ship program & highly recommend them.
