Freeze Alarm February 28, 2008 R. Coven (Amherst, MA) This is a product that you hope to never have to rely on in a real life situation! It did all the things it was supposed to do in the test mode but in our absence from home it has never had to warn us of a critical condition because our heating system has not failed. We are still comforted to know it is still on and vigilant, in the event it may be needed.
This can save you a lot of money February 24, 2008 Craig L. Thompson Simple to hook up and easy to program. This will dial a phone number to alert you that you may have a potential freeze up situation. This early warning can save you thousands of dollars. If you are in a cold climate and have a vacant property or are going on vacation, this is a very inexpensive piece of protection. It will call every 2 hours until deactivated. I know it works, it saved my home!
clever, indispensable February 16, 2008 N. Olson (Connecticut) This device and its more expensive (expanded coverage) sisters is a gem. I haven't needed it--temperture falling below 45, but the peace of mind is at a bargain price. Easy to set up, plug in like any phone, test it before you leave the house. Anyone who leaves the North for the South in winter or anyone with a cabin in the woods or lake home with heat should have it.
Excellent device February 13, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Purchased the Freeze Alarm prior to our trip to Florida. The first week we were called on our cell phone alerting us of a problem with our heating system. Outside temp was down to 15, called our plumber who replaced gas valve. Without the alert whole house would have froze breaking pipes. Great investment.
Freeze Alarm - invaluable January 12, 2008 Steve D. Mobry (Wakefield NH, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item has twice saved me thousands of dollars in damages when the power goes out at my small business. My espresso machine, if allowed to freeze, would cost over $5000.00 to repair. When power goes out andtemperature drops, the freeze alarm calls my home, tells me there is a problem, and I go start the back-up heater manually.
