Product Description
Heavy-duty planing needs will be satisfied with this production quality Portable Planer. It gives a wide 3 1/4" cut and can take off 5/64" per pass, as well as a 11/16" rabbet capability. This planer comes with a blade wrench, spare cog belt, edge guide and dust bag. The 110V, 1 HP motor turns at 16,000 RPM.

This planer performs very nicely and has plenty of power and a big plus it runs very quiet. It cuts nice and the bottom is nice and flat and so far no sniping. The dust chute picks up about 99% of the chips without a vacuunm. It came out of the box ready to use and completly set up. The guide is a nice bonus. The depth adjustment knob works smoothly and acts a nice front handle.The only thing that is a little difficult is cutting rabbits with the seperate rabbit depth adjustment. It includes a nice plastic case to hold the planer, extra blades, wrench, dustbag, edge guide, extra set of brushes, and extra belt. What was also nice is that the blades are reversible so it is like getting eight blades. The only down size and it is personnel, is that it is built in China. I would have been willing to pay a little more if it was built else where. It performs just as well as the more expensive models. After only owning it for three days I have already planed down 11 interior wood panel doors that were retro fitted into existing door jambs and it did not miss a beat. Using some shims and hot glue on the edge guide got my 3 degree angle on every door or just the edge guide and got a nice 90. How it holds up is another story, but since it is a Grizzly product I have no doubt it will.

I had to change the blades after the first use, after that no big problems, I am a contractor so i do a lot of wood working good planer for the money .................. After my review grizzly co. personaly called me and told me new blades are on the way, I would recommend them to any one i give them 5 stars after customer service

I was surprised with this product. I was expecting a low quality planer for the price; however this thing is awesome for the price. It operates with very little vibration, is quite, and has plenty of power. The only negatives are, the case is flimsy and doesn't really fit the planer well, and the fact that it is made in China which is something I guess I'm going to have to live with when it comes to power tools, still don't like it though.

This planer is so much more powerful than my manual one :) It is so easy to use and the duct collecter is fairly efficient, made my little project very easy.

I bought my planer a few months ago. It's got plenty of power and has a nice feel to it when used. I feel like I have total control of the cut with it's precise adjustment knob. Like mentioned before, the collection bag is surprisingly efficient. I highly recommend this tool!
