Bought this to replace a Black & Decker toaster oven. What a difference. This thing is great. Takes up very little counter space yet is quite ample inside. Bakes, toasts, and broils everything to perfection. Will certainly buy Delonghi products in the future.

I was in the market for a toaster oven, and I prefer my appliances digital. I believe this is the cheapest digital toaster oven you will find. The style of the oven is pretty nice. It certainly looks more expensive than it is.
Being digital has some neat advantages. First, when you toast something, you see a countdown timer based on your setting. And, very important, the oven will readjust the time if it's already hot! When you are baking or broiling the counter will count down from the time you choose.
Another poster commented on a different toaster oven how superfluous it is for a toaster oven to have a clock (as in time of day). This one does too. There's no need for it besides keeping the LEDs entertained while you're not using the oven. However, the digits are very clear, bright, and easy to read. I find it rather amusing that I have four appliance clocks in my kitchen and I find myself using the toaster oven's the most!
Toasting bread: The oven comes with six settings for non-frozen bread and six settings for frozen bread. I'll usually set the average analog toaster a little under the half-way mark and I had heard toaster ovens don't toast as well as regular toasters, so I chose the 't3' setting (middle) the first time around. The bread came out burnt. Then I tried 't2'. The bread came out slightly darker than I'd like. So now I'm always using 't1'. Unless you're eating a Flintstone's-size piece of bread, stay away from the higher settings! The overall toast result is very consistent though. Maybe it's the square heating elements.
I haven't used the bake functionality. I'd imagine it to be much like an oven. I referred to the manual before using the broil functionality to cook breakfast links. They took a fraction of the recommendation for a similar meat.
Downsides: I'd like to have more realistic toaster controls than not burnt vs. five levels of burnt. Also, the racks don't slide forward by themselves when you open the door. Instead, they are a very tight manual fit. Thus, you always find yourself using a spatula.

I used to have a much larger toaster oven, but having subsequently bought my first microwave, when the big toaster oven died, I looked for a smaller toaster oven to free up some counter space. I've had this for about a month, and I think it's quite good for what it is, but for what it is, it's overpriced. If it were cheaper I'd rate it higher. It broils beautifully. The oven heats very quickly, which is great. By my measurements, it's about 50 degrees above the requested temperature in middle ranges, as has been noted by others. But small toaster ovens are always unreliable on precise temperature. That's why all those frozen foods that come in microwave containers say don't cook them in a toaster oven (which you can do just fine, by the way, if you know how far off the temperature is). I prefer toast a little lighter than it makes toast at T-1, but it's okay. I miss features like the hook pull-outs, which not only pull the shelf out when you open the door but keep the door from crashing up and down, and the pull-out, rather than drop-down, crumb drawer. It's a perfectly adequate small toaster oven, but it should be either a little better or a little cheaper.

I was looking to replace my trusty euro-pro which was starting to show its age. At first, I bought a Bella Cucina toaster oven from Macy's. But because of its poor quality, I returned it for something else.
I then noticed this beautiful little oven for $59. All digital and dressed in black and chrome, it looked mighty impressive. So, even though it's a bit smaller than the Bella Cucina, I bought it.
The product is presented more like a consumer electronics device rather than a cheap toaster oven. Which is actually quite nice.
The box says that the unit is designed and engineered in Italy (but...made in China). And the design certainly shows. It's gorgeous! Plus it seems very well made - much better than a lot of toaster ovens out there.
There's really more space in there than you would imagine! The oven comes with an interesting rack which is two overlapping squares.
What's interesting about the mechanics of this unit is that the heating elements, on both top and bottom, is in a rectangular format rather than just two rods on top and bottom. I was wondering if it would work well with food.
Yes it did! I just cooked a pizza and it really cooks quite fast! It took only half the time than it did with my euro-pro. Which is quite impressive. The pizza came out pretty even and very tasty.
With all the pluses of the unit, there's a few things that are minor which while not terrible, are things that might be improved with on future models.
First, the glass door is tinted. This might be good or bad, not sure yet, but you might not be able to tell how far cooking has come without opening the door. Perhaps the tinted glass keeps the heat in which makes things cook faster???
The second thing is that all the buttons are black. Maybe some color could have been introduced. Like the - and + buttons. one could be red and the other blue.
Also, there's some clicking sounds while cooking....nothing bad but the lights dimmed for a split second while cooking. It comes with a grounded three prong plug which is supposed to prevent electrical overloads, etc.
overall, even though I used it just once, it looks like a very unique and well made oven. If you can find it - buy one! There were only two left at Macy's Kings Plaza, in Brooklyn.
But I'm glad I got mine!

I bought this toaster as it's footprint is quite small compared to other toaster ovens and doesn't consume excess space on my kitchen counter top. Black and chrome appearance is quite modern plus digital controls give an updated look. Unfortunely, the toaster oven doesn't work very well. I've owned product for one month and have many performance comments. Using a separate oven thermometer I recorded oven temperatures over the 200 to 450F range. The actual internal mid oven temperatures were higher than the set temperature by +25 to +50F with an average of +45.6F high after temperature stabilization time of 10 minutes. With actual baking etc this error needs to be taken into account otherwise burnt/overcooked goods will result. Baking of a chicken breast is good as long as set temperature is reduced 50F to take in account of temperature error. The toaster function timing and toasting side to side eveness is poor. Toast tends to be lighter on bottom side of the bread while top is fine, yet 1-2 minutes time still remain on the timer. The bread thawing function is handy. Overall I'm disappointed in this product. It works ok if you take into account it's flaws but it isn't any better than my former cheaper 8 year old toaster oven.
