Based on traditional design, this Brass Coal Hod is a classic way of containing the ashes & embers while adding a sense of warm elegance to your hearth. (Be aware that, due to the Polished Brass finish, the images of the outside of the Hod look light because the finish is literally reflecting the backdrop - look to the Interior to see the true finish.) Features a wide-mouthed open top to easily fill or dispose of your woodburning waste. In addition, this has a splayed, circular Foot for stability & to help keep the floor protected from warm coals. (The Brass Shovel is not included with this but can be purchased separately from it's own listing.) And if you like this style but want other coloration options, look for the sisters of this item in a Black or Pewter finish (comparable to a Hammered Iron in appearance). Crafted in Canada & distributed stateside by Minuteman International, one of the top names in Hearth Tools & Accessories. Body is composed of 1/16" Brass with a polished finish & a turned Wood Grip on a Brass Handle. Hod measures 11" High x 16 1/2" Wide x 12 1/2" Deep. Interior height is about 10" due to the concave bottom. Will hold ~3 gallons of ash.
