Accidentally, this turned out to be a wonderful light for our household. I say it was accidental for several reasons. First, the light is described incorrectly. It IS NOT A ONE LIGHT FLOOR LAMP. Instead, it has 3 candelabera lights that cannot exceed 60 watts per lamp. To our amazement, the light is rather bright. As a bonus, it can also be easily softened to create a mood when entertaining. Secondly, the height is not given in the description and this light is taller than average. A tall light is wonderful for our book corner as it lights the higher shelves as well as the lower ones. Thirdly, the light has a floor switch that is not given in the description. For us this is wonderful because my senior mother, who has a problem turning on lights because of arthritis in her hands, now has a light that she can access easily. SHE LOVES IT!!!
My two other comments are product related. First, this lamp has very simple lines and is therefore rather elegant for a middle income household. More importantly, I am inept at assembling almost everything; yet, I assembled this lamp in five minutes. YES!!!
I purchased this lamp when it was on SUPERSALE. I am so happy with it that I am waiting for the matching table lamp to go on SUPERSALE. Thank you GLOBE for an accidental find:-)

The lamp was well packaged. It was very easy to put together and ended up being a very good quality floor lamp. The only drawback, if that's what you would call it, is the foot switch[inconvenient]. But, I guess this is the coming thing because I have seen it [floor switch] in the stores. Good value for your dollar. One thing I do not remember seeing in the advertisement is the type of bulbs it uses [candlelabra style, up to 60w].

If homeland security could design a plan that was as secure as the bloody packaging on this lamp and as difficult to infiltrate, we would be perfectly safe. Assembly was a pain because the grooves did not match up and for one woman trying to do it on her own it was quite a task. After having finally completed the task and constructing a somewhat crooked lamp, I find that there are no bulbs. and the ad did not mention that a specific type of bulb was required and this could not be seen from the picture of the lamp, because the lampshade was over it. Ah c'mon.

I think it is normal floor lamp with normal height. Unfortunately it is not, vendor should have a better picture for customers!
