The clock was smaller than I had expected, but it is working great! The directions that came with the clock were not very good. You need to fill up both reservoirs with water and may need more than a dash of salt. The instructions stated a dash of salt but the graphics showed two spoonfulls. They stated to add salt every two weeks, but I am going on three weeks at least. This is a very eco friendly appliance.

I gave this clock to one of my nieces for Christmas. It was easy to get it started and it worked fine. What impressed me and made me chuckle was that during the day, every man in the extended family had to inspect it and see just what made it tick. I thought my niece would like it to use with her students as a teaching tool. I was amazed at how mesmerizing it was for just about every man who saw it. It's a really great gift idea!
