B&D 18V hedge trimmer July 19, 2008 Tommy Parker (Macon, Ga. USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I really like this. It is light enough & easy to use. Battery life is plenty for my use. For the first time in 40 years I'm not fighting a power cord or putting gas and oil in it. I bought it without a battery as I already had two. I own other 18V B&D tools & it's a great system.

Black & Decker 18-Volt Cordless Electric Hedge Trimmer (Bare Tool: No Battery/Charger) #NHT518B This tools works great! You can trim a little or a lot without getting out the extention cord. The only thing I find fault with is the safety lockout. You need to hold the product with both hands in order to turn it on. I would like to override it! I bought it to trim off spent flower blooms of which I hold with one hand and trim with the other. The lockout makes me leave it running while I gather the stems I want to cut. The battery power has not been a problem. I do like it very much!! Ted
Black & Decker 18 volt cordless electric hedge trimmer August 14, 2008 Robert Van Wicklen 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I returned this item because I originally gave it to a friend as a gift and he was not able to get the necessary charger and battery to run it. He was referred to a Black and Decker service outlet by Home Depot and the service outlet said the charger was on back order and they had no idea when they would get it.
Great machine August 23, 2008 fiddler (02138) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like all the B&D battery powered tools I have, this is a great tool. I exhaused myself cutting down dead raspberry bushes and my wife took over and did another hour on the same charge. I prefer it to a weed wacker for many jobs. And these are the unusual uses - for straight trimming its a wiz!
Died First day used August 31, 2008 David Drost (USA, near Phoenix) Either it seized or possibly the battery was bad. I charged the battery a full 9 hours. I liked the idea of cordless, but it stopped running while I was trimming a small shrub (was less than 1/4 inch diameter stems).
