Wow- What a tool, what a price! June 24, 2006 happy camper (Roseville, Minnesota) 37 out of 38 found this review helpful
Ordered on Tuesday-received on Friday!!! Opened the box and laid out all the parts, nothing missing or damaged-Grizzly even supplied the hex wrenches. Main body of tool was well protected and lubricated. Instructions were good and the tips and hints were helpful. HERE'S A SECRET - Save yourself 50%- this the exact same (except color and logo) as the D**** tool at half the cost. On top of that, I'd rather show off the GRIZZLY brand than that hobby shop name. Performs like a dream, tight and accurate.
price / performance can't be beat July 22, 2006 funbear 35 out of 35 found this review helpful
Grizzly ceases to amaze the ww world. This Tenoning jig is of very high quality. Although its not advertised, the fine tension knob is capable of .001" fine adjustments, although it requires a bit of finger precision. Only one minor complaint which is why I did not give 5 stars..... The jig moves on its own sliding platform. While adjusting the distance to / fro the blade, the top platform (which holds the wood) can wiggle from square to unsquare, as the top platform does not slide on any type of alignment system. This would be a nice addition to the jig. Of course, this can be compensated by re squaring, but a bit cumbersome. Although I don't recall seeing this on any tenoning jig. So overall, the jigs price performance is superb... and surface area is dead flat, Kudos to Grizzly. I wonder why the very similar (same?) Shop Fox version of this same jig is 2x the price? Grizz and Shop Fox are now under same ownership....

If you dont have one of these, get one. For the money, this unit should be $100.00+ the only flaw I could find was the "light" position locks. Something tells me that these will wear sooner or later, however if you over torque the best of metals, they break too. The fine adjustments are smooth and I used it right out of the box (half hour to assemble and true to blade). I have a Bosch portable table saw and this jig fit the slide with minor allen head screw adjust and removal of round slide locks. Tennons could not be easier,
Tenoning Jig February 28, 2007 YSU65 (Upstate NY) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I picked up the jig at Muncy and had to clean it up from the protective grease. In the summer I would normally do this with brake cleaner but since it was zero outside, I had to use conventional MS inside. I had to convert the jig to left tilt, not a problem but the face would not line up to the blade. I had to open up one of the alignment holes but then it worked out fine. The alignment instructions are incorrect and need editing. BLADE CLEARENCE ADJUSTMENT . . . . 6. Observe the contact of the saw blade . . . as shown in Figure 11. . . . . If the work support plate is not parallel with the blade, go to step 6. Ugh, I am on step 6. There are also two item 10's. But it is working fine right now.
Amazing March 3, 2007 Thomas Whitmore (Rochester New York) 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I just bought my Grizzly Tenon Jig off of Amazon Tool (plug time) and did much comparing between units offered by various companies before purchasing this Grizzly. I read all the reviews from other purchasers of all brands and settled on this unit. Bang for the buck this has got to be the one to buy.....$59. When you open the box and take this unit out it is heavy and well made. It takes about ten minutes to put together. It's so easy even a Nianderthal Man (cave guy) could put it together. I did not want to use the other saying from the ins company , they might have a patent on it!!! I look at this thing in amazement and ask how can they sell this for only $59. The unit is machined cast with other parts and very well made. It sets up quickly and tolerances are pretty darn good. I'm going to have to adapt...I'm so use to making them the old fashion way on the table saw like we learned in wood shop in high school. Times they are a changing. Hope that I helped Thanks ..Whit
