Artful, Soothing and Educational The winner of several industry awards, including the Editor's Choice blue ribbon from Baby Talk, each Twilight Turtle is individually hand painted for a unique, artful look that complements any nursery or children's room. Plush and soft, with a sturdy plastic shell, this nightlight is best placed on the floor in the center of the room, where it projects a starry night sky onto the ceiling and walls. For interactive fun, parents can also sit with their children and identify and describe the features of eight major constellations, including the Big Dipper and the Big Bear, with the help of the beautifully illustrated Star Guide. The Twilight Turtle also includes a warm-hearted story about how Twilight Turtle, separated from his father, uses the constellations to find his way home. User-Friendly Operation Simply pressing the button on the turtle's shell ignites the stars and keeps them glowing for a full 45 minutes--just enough time for most children to drift into sleep. At this point, the Twilight Turtle automatically shuts off to preserve battery life. Another push of the button reactivates the projection. In addition, the easy selection of the three soothing color choices allows your child not only to learn to identify different colors, but also to truly experience them as well. Amber radiates warmth and peace; green creates a healing and renewing atmosphere; and blue helps calm the senses. The soft, illuminating glow the Twilight Turtle emits also serves as a nightlight that makes the darkness less frightening. Makes a Great Gift A great gift for children who are afraid of the dark, or even adults who have trouble falling asleep, the Twilight Turtle runs on three "AAA" batteries (included). It also comes with a certification of adoption, and measures a compact 14.0 x 5.0 inches (WxH), so it's easy to display and store. Sleep time isn't a chore October 1, 2005 Jinny Fraser (Las Vegas, NV USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
The Sleep Sheep has been a lifesaver. My son is 6 months old and has just started teething. We can always get him to goto sleep whenever we turn on his little Sleep Sheep, no fusses, no hassles. It fastens securely to his crib and is durable enough to travel with us. I love it.
Finally Fell Asleep June 8, 2006 Andrea Woolworth (TX) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Sleep Sheep is a savior! My 8 month old daughter finally fell asleep on her own listening to the sound of the ocean. That's her favorite one. She sleeps so much longer than she used to before. I highly recommed it!
great little turtle March 15, 2008 A. Miner (Rocky River, OH USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This little turtle is great for our one 10 week old child. We turn the turtle on at bedtime and he just can't keep his eyes off all the stars around the room. Blue stars show up best, green a close second and the amber stars are a little fainter. I think it all depends on your paint color on your walls and the amount of ambient light in the room. Good option to have 3 colors, one will fit your decor. 45 minute glow time is good, plenty of time to get to sleep. Great buy, use every night.
3 and a half month old loves this October 3, 2007 M. Nowak (CT, MA area) I was looking for something that would reflect on my sons walls or ceiling. Prior to purchasing this item I had the ocean wonders mobile with porjection. I HATED THAT it ran on 4 "D" batteries and would die every 2 days. I love the fact that this product works with "aaa" batteries they last longer and are not a expensive to replace. I think the 45 minute time limit is perfect because my 3 1/2 month old takes a while to fall asleep on his own. The only thing I had to do to make this product better was suspend it from the ceiling with release strips so he could see it better and I could just give it a tap and it wouls move. I love this product so much that I am buying 3 more for my friends who are having babies in December and Febuary.
My 1-yr old niece loves it! September 5, 2008 Res ipsa loquitur - (San Francisco, CA USA) Got it for her birthday and my sister said her daughter hugs it when she goes to sleep. It shoots a star light pattern on the ceiling. I'm glad I got it for her.
