Product Description The Wagner Paint Crew is an airless piston pump sprayer with the performance of a contractor sprayer yet designed for the homeowner. The paint crew uses standard reversible spray tips and comes complete with hose, tip and metal spray gun.
Amazon.com Product Description The Wagner Spray Tech Paint Crew paint sprayer is specifically designed to spray most architectural coatings including thick (un-thinned) exterior latex paints. The Paint Crew offers the same quality spray pattern as high-priced contractor units, but it's easier to use and more affordable, making it an ideal tool for the do-it-yourselfer. Whether you're painting just the fence or your entire home, the Paint Crew is simple to operate and easy-to-clean for years of trouble-free operation. Wagner's innovative 413 reversible spray tip provides a superior finish and lets you clear clogs fast with a twist of the wrist. A 3/8-horsepower piston pump cranks out 2,750 PSI for tackling multi-story painting projects quickly. A convenient carrying handle and lightweight design ensure easy transport. Best of all, with simplified set-up and clean up, the Paint Crew makes even smaller projects fast and easy. Plus, a 2-gallon hopper offers longer spray time (and less downtime) on those extended applications. Note: This is a factory reconditioned tool and may contain cosmetic blemishes.

A superb value July 23, 2007 Michael J Edelman (Huntington Woods, MI USA) 82 out of 83 found this review helpful
I was all set to rent a pro unit to paint my garage, when I saw a deal on a reconditioned 770. Based on previous experience with Wagner consumer spray guns, I was doubtful, but ordered it anyway. And I'm very glad I did. Unlike the little hand-held diaphragm sprayers, this gun is light, easy to handle, and puts out a huge volume of paint with no spitting or dribbling. It easily handled the heavy acrylic latex I used on my garage. The gun supplied with this sprayer is a professional unit, and the pump puts out as much paint as a lot of commercial grade painters. After spending perhaps a half-hour taping and masking, I had my entire garage painted in less time than it took to do the prep! Cleanup was maybe another half hour, and simple, using the Wagner cleaning and lube solution, if you carefully follow the instructions in the booklet. Hint: After you pour out excess paint in the hopper, use a squeegee to get that lest bit back into the bucket, rinse it with water, and use heavy-duty paper towels to get the last bits out. Then fill the hopper with cleaner, flush, and lube. One hint: You absolutely want to install a swivel on the gun before using this unit- it's inexpensive, and makes handling the gun much, much easier.
So far so good May 15, 2007 Alvaro Vega Garcia (Brownsville, TX USA) 33 out of 34 found this review helpful
The equipment looks like new. I had been using this for about a month to paint everything I can and the sprayer give a incredible finish. When I read the manual, it seems to me that the cleaning process will be real complex, but actually is very very easy.
A pain in the you no what to clean September 2, 2007 Douglas PHILEN (moses Lake, wa) 28 out of 30 found this review helpful
THE PAINT CREW SPRAYED REALLY WELL BUT ITS NOT WELL THOUGHT OUT WHEN IT COMES TO CLEANING. THE NEW PAINT CREW PLUS IS THE WAY TO GO IF YOU WANT TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR A NEW SPRAYER. THE PAINT CREW PLUS ADDRESES ALL THE PROBLEMS THAT THE PAINT CREW HAS BEEN HAVING. IF YOU WANT TO SAVE SOME MONEY BUY THE RECONDITIONED MODLE OF THE PAINT CREW BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMEND BUYING IT NEW.
Great condition - Great production August 6, 2007 Pacnorwest 27 out of 29 found this review helpful
First off, I received the Reconditioned Wagner Spray tech last Wednesday after ordering it on the previous Saturday. That was very fast considering I used the free shipping option. Initially I started rolling stain onto my fence. After two days of tedious rolling I decided it was worth $100 to try this product. I'm very glad I did. I ended up spraying the majority of my fence in about 2-3 hours...what would have taken at least 16 hours to do by roller. The even spray pattern, quick startup, and fairly easy cleanup made this one of my best purchases in a long time. Two things you should have on hand is Household oil for after cleanup, and Mineral Spirits for oil based paints/stains during cleanup. A swivel for the gun would be great to have, but it works fine without, you just fight the hose a bit. The condition of the Reconditioned Wagner was excellent, and feel this is a much better deal than getting a new one.
Pros and Cons, but great for homeowners July 24, 2008 Prairie Mutt (Indiana, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I used to paint professionally and have used professional sprayers. Now, many years later, I needed to stain (Sherwin-Williams solid color exterior oil stain) my house. I was very surprised how well the sprayer worked. Stains are notorious for streaking, but I had no problem fading in new strokes. The price was about the cost of rental, so I basically got it for free. Cleaning is not much fun, but hardly unbearable. Cleaning effort is reasonable for occasional homeowner use for big jobs. My biggest gripe is that in the manual, it says not to use industrial enamels. This wipes out my use for my favorite Sherwin-Williams Industrial Enamel - a rock solid paint, as well as Sherwin-Williams Duration which is thick as molasses. This is a MAJOR GRIPE because you should see this kind of limitation in the product's ad, not buried in the instruction manual after you buy. Overall, this is not a heavy-duty machine, so I would never consider it for pro or commercial use. If you plan to use it every few years, it seems a great deal. It is lightly made as is typical of consumer stuff these days. Spray volume is not huge, but many people could not handle the volume of a pro machine anyway. One final note. When I first went to use it, it would not work. I dumped out the stain, then gently poked a screwdriver into the inlet, depressing the ball. The inside filled with stain. I started and it ran fine and has been fine since. That little trick may save you a return!
