For some reason, when I'm trying to renovate an old house, all of the door knob holes are too small! For whatever reasons, the newer knobs require larger holes.... I've been remodeling "mid century" houses lately.
Pros: It's cheap. Gets the job done. If you're drilling a couple of doors for your house, buy this one and then be prepared to just throw it away.
- When you're using this, stop when you're halfway through the door and clean out the sawdust. Otherwise it'll stay clogged and just spin. If it stops going in, take a screwdriver and break out sections of the wooden plug.
Cons: Dulled very easily. After about twenty doors, it has dulled, and doesn't work as well. It's slow and jumps around.
