Nice Scrubber June 8, 2008 N. Machen (Burnsville, MN) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
OK - since this is a Gold Box special at the moment & nobody has written a review yet, I'll jump in. I got one of these last year to clean the siding on my house. It did a pretty good job - it's a little harder than I expected to keep it going straight while the head is rotating, but with a little practice it's not too strenuous an operation. This uses the same battery as my B&D Trimmer, so it's nice to have another one of those. If you need a cordless scrubber, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Black & Decker.
Very Good Power Scrubber June 28, 2008 William A. Cardarelli (Warwick, RI United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
As for the positives, it is cordless, powerfull, and a good overall design. Great for cars and decks and any other scrubbing jobs you need done around your home. As for the negatives, the battery will not last a long time, but Black and Decker does have an upgraded longer lasting 18v battery and quick charger that you can buy seperately at an affordable price. Also, it only came with a scrubber brush for automobiles. The scrubber brush for decks and siding you will have to purchase seperately.
Very pleased! July 12, 2008 J. Young 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Purchased this item as recommended by tomchoice, and a 8" hard scrub for use on my kitchen concrete floor. Must say that the hard scrub is not really that hard, so I used it with conjunction with Comet and the result is very satisfactory. It still is a slow process, but I do not need to be scrubbing on my knees, so I am happy. Will try out the 4" hard scrub which seems like it has thicker bristles from the picture. Will also buy a second one for my parents to clean their balcony. The soft brush it came with is good for autos, but I have no use as I bring my car to car washes. Maybe I can use it for floor polishing.
O.K. for Light Scrubbing July 12, 2008 c kelly (Dayton, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Only has a 10' reach if your arms are 4', but it sure beats a handheld brush! Actual length is ~6 feet. Used it to wash down vinyl siding and worked O.K. except electrical connector between the two halves could be better--putting any pressure on brush flexed the scrubber and would lose power intermittently. Not very powerful--brush bogged down with slightest pressure and battery only lasted ~20-30 minutes. Also needs better lock for locking angle of the brush. Only came with 8" auto-brush. Other brushes available for around $10-$18. Overall, I would still buy again until someone offers a scrubber that better addresses the above problems.
OK for soft jobs August 23, 2008 Robert L. Broeren (Fountain Valley, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to scrub the oil stains the garage and the organic black growth between the bricks outside. Three immediate comments, (i) it is not very powerfull at all. If you push down to really scrub it will quickly stall out. Second, (ii) the power scrubber (black 8" disk sold separately) is still very soft. I have purchased the 4" to see if it is any more abrasive. Third, (iii) as stated by another review the length is not that convient to scrub the floor, and there is no handle to hold it. You do get the hang of keeping it on the dirty spots after a few minutes, but B&D needs to make the an 18" extention so you can stand up straight and make a handle like there other power tools so you can keep it straight better. Lastly, the "lock" didn't lock very well at all. If you push on, and not very hard, it will still pivot. I would not buy this if you need to "scrub" something, but if you just want a gentle brushing it is OK. I have many other 18V B&D tools and REALLY like the chain saw, trimmer, and even the garden tiller. But this items did not meet my expectations. Rob
