Very easy to set up and screw to garage door jamb. Can select PIN number from 3 to 8 digits. Only minor design niggles with this product: * It's easy to make a mistake when entering your code. If you hit the buttons too fast, it goes nuts and starts flashing the red LED. You then have to wait a few seconds and start again. * There is no visual indication that you have entered the correct PIN; only when you enter an incorrect one. * No visual indication that the 30s 'any button will open the door' timeout is still active. * I haven't tried this yet, but from the user guide it seems that in order to program a new PIN code, you need to clear the old one, set a new one and then re-program your garage door opener as if it was a new remote. I plan on changing the PIN regularly, so that will be a pain, since the door opener can only remember 7 remotes. After only a couple of PIN changes, this means I'll have to reset the door opener and reprogram all 5 of my remotes. * Anyone that knows how to program one of these units can clear your old PIN code (but obviously can't re-program your door opener to accept it, because they can't get into your garage). If I was a bored teenager and I saw one of these stuck to someone's house, I'd go and clear the PIN number just for kicks.
Good product September 4, 2007 C. Chao 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This device was easy to install and program. Very convenient to use without carrying a key. The only question I have is about the function that allows any key to operate the garage door within 30 seconds after the code is entered. Doesn't that allow anybody who is following me to open the door right behind me?

No more garage door openers needed. Everyone should have one of these. Easy to get in the garage when working outside. Can let friends get supplies from garage without giving them a key.
Worth the money July 23, 2008 M. Yung (Los Angeles, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This remote control is very handy and is well worth the $30+. It is easy to set up (takes about 15 min. to attach to wall and program). Thing to watch out for is it stays activated for 30 sec after password is entered so you don't want to leave the garage area too soon lest someone may open your door without the password.
Nice addition September 13, 2008 Rick K. (Toledo, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as an aside to a replacement of my old remote system and it is just very handy to use. I would highly recommend a perminently attached keypad for its versitility. If I cannot be home I am able to set a one-time entry code for meter readers, friends, deliveries, etc.
