OK. But Not Great. March 27, 2008 James L. Miles (Shreveport, LA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Came with a broken spark plug which was not new. I wonder how you can recondition a trimmer without changing the spark plug? Had to go find a spark plug to fit in the trimmer before I could crank the thing up. It runs very rough and vibrates a lot at idle but does smooth out when you throttle it up. It will probably do a good job of trimming but it's not up to the quality of my old Ryobi trimmer.

I was cautiuos about purchasing a reconditiond string trimmer but it has worked well and is very compatable with my existing attachments. I saved $$ buying this tool.
RYOBI 30CC reconditioned trimmer May 26, 2008 Kevin Lees (Purcellville, VA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received my reconditioned trimmer and mid way through the first use the string stopped advancing. I couldn't advance it by hand even though there was plenty left. I couldn't get the spool off and it took me the rest of the day to do that. I rewound the string used it but it won't advance. This string advance head is awful it is nothing like the other RYOBI I had and if I had know how ineffective it is I wouldn't have bought this model. Nothing but frustration.

Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi 17-Inch 30cc 1 HP Gas-Powered Curved-Shaft String Trimmer (Non-CARB Compliant) #ZR30000 This trimmer runs well and except for the markings you would not know it wasn't brand new. Starts fast and dose a great job.
Worst Product I've ever bought July 14, 2008 Steve Baker 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Third pull of the starter, and the cord would not go back in. (It never did start.) Called Ryobi - They gave me an authorized service center near me. I took it in the next business day. The service center says replacement parts are on back order, and I've been without my trimmer for over 6 weeks. I am not be able to return this trimmer to Amazon (their policy), and Ryobi will not help. I've given up and purchased a different trimmer from Walmart. Read the fine print about the returns or satisfaction guaranteed!!!
