| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Then came the compound feature making it easy to get perfect bevel-cuts. This saw adds two more innovations to increase your productivity. First, a rail system for sliding/retracting the saw head which dramatically increases the width of lumber you can cut; from 4-6" up to 12"! An FDA-approved Laser that gives you a bright red, unmistakable cutting guide--no more guesswork on where the blade will make the cut. This saw is a rock-solid tool, the best in its class, heavy-duty 1800-watt CUL-approved 15 Amp motor to take on your toughest cuts, plus auto-retracting, see-thru blade guard, twin extension fences for stabilizing longer boards, dust-extraction system and collector, and blade-brake. An outstanding value in a quality-designed and built full-featured miter saw.

Flimsy Plastic Tool Sheild Is a big drawback October 16, 2007 James Grappe (Austin, TX USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After Limited use the Plastic tool guard became warped and now is useless becasue it catches on the blade. The really bad thing is that I can not find where to get a replacement sheild for this product. I can not find a website to order a replacement guard.
A Fair Deal May 26, 2007 Joseph R. (Mill Valley, CA United States) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I should not have expected much, for $195. The good points: easy slide, and angle changes. The stock holding clamp is fine. The laser is accurate (however, battery operation not ideal. It has a vac port, and comes with dust bag. The drawbacks: very loud, the electronic brake doesn't stop blade fast enough, and only a 60T blade (and made in China). Overall a good value...best as a second or back-up unit, for occasional use, or as an "on the truck" tool.
