this is a scam March 18, 2006 S. Carruthers (seattle WA) 26 out of 32 found this review helpful
we had rats in our garage and bought this product in good faith. imagine our surprize to find that the rats were actually attracted to this product and seemed to prefer to leave their dropping where we had put the granules. i suppose they were laughing at us for buying such a stupid product. we got exterminators in to do the job correctly and they also had a good laugh when we showed them the product container. buyer beware !!!
rats and mice buy=by February 18, 2007 Joan Garrett (CALLY GIRL) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I was working on a ranch. We had problems with wood rats getting under the car hoods and eating though spark plug wires Ect. The man i worked for had put out rat poisen, which works by de-hydrating the critters. Therefore they run to a water sourse before they die. So this meant they ran under the house and died and the smell of them decaying was aweful. So i bought shake away, sprinked it under the hood of my car and thier's and all around the house and garage. It worked great we never had the problem again
Bye-Bye Little Mousey! September 19, 2006 Melissa Bishop (boilermaker country) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
We had just moved in our new home that had previously been a corn field and we starting finding mice droppings in our garage. We then found some in the house and decided to take action. Having 4 children under the age of 7 we wanted whatever it was to be safe. We contacted an exterminator who said they would have to use poision, but we might find dead mice in the house. We tried glue traps, caught some that way but who wants to dispose of the sticky mice. Tried the little sound things that plug into the walls. Didn't work. Found Shake away and our mouse problem was gone. That was 3 years ago and we still use this stuff. Just sprinkle around the house a few weeks before fall comes and then a few more times during the fall, and no more problem! If you are looking for the safe then try this!
Got mice? May 14, 2007 W. WATTERS (New Jersey, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I've put Shake Away rodent repellent in kitchen cupboard beneath stove, on kitchen floor and in utility room cabinets. I also placed repellent around the outside of house. Since first using 2 months ago the number of incoming field mice has been considerably reduced. When a mouse does arrive the critter soon departs. I notice no odor from the product. Delivery was prompt. Order filled accurately. Follow up e-mail. I recommend.
Small Critters Calling My Bluff May 26, 2007 Amazellen (West Chester, Ohio) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have not used this particular product for RODENT control. I HAVE used the SMALL CRITTER Repellent (same brand) for chipmunks and bunnies etc. That has only been partially effective. It has not dissuaded the critters to move on. They seem to come back after two days and call my bluff. I think it is because we have only lived here 2 years now and they have been "in (under) residence" for a much longer time. I wanted to use a humane type product like this but this one is just too expensive per use and I have not gotten the results I was hoping for. I am down to my last 2 jars and I have already used 4 without success. I won't order it again. It is a shake product but the consistency of the product is somewhat moist and so it really doesn't like to "shake" out through the holes provided. The larger opening dispenses it too rapidly and one can use up a bottle/jar in a hurry.
