Amazon.com Review A terrific gift for a man or a woman, this sleek credit-card-size tool and manicure kit comes from the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago. This innovative adaptation of the outdoorsman's pocket knife, however, is designed for 21st-century urbanites. It slips into a wallet, purse, or personal organizer or fits unobtrusively in a vehicle glove compartment. The card contains nine stainless-steel tools that slide out of a sleek translucent-plastic holder. The tools include a letter opener, scissors, ballpoint pen, nail file, screwdriver, tweezers, plastic toothpick, needle, and ruler. The card measures just 3-1/4 inches long, 2-1/6 inches wide, and 1/5-inch thick. A fine example of Swiss engineering precision, the entire kit weighs less than 1 ounce. The card carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

A Great Idea, But Not Built Tough September 19, 2001 cs2001 (Western NY USA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
The plastic door for the scissors could easily break off.By the way, the Swiss Card was advertised as 10 fuctions; but the blade was counted twice - blade & letteropener. It has a ball point pen which is quite useful.

I have two swiss army knives. I happened across a camper on a hike more than ten years ago, and have been sold on victorinox knives ever since. Now I have a card too. I have had it for a year now and really enjoy it. I carry it in the credit card slot of my PDA wallet and use it often. The camper is a stronger knife but I like this one's portability. The other knife was more than I wanted in my pocket all of the time and this one is just automatically with me. My only complaint is that it lacks the heft and strength of my other knife, but to be portable you go small. I compared it with the spydercard but I like to have more than just one blade available. Hope this helps!
Looks great, not as functional as desired. November 27, 2003 McMack (Oak Brook, Illinois United States) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Have had this for years now, with additional gifts at various times. Although I'd expected this to come in quite handy, I have found the scissors and knife not quite up to what I need at the time. (I probably use the tip of a ballpoint pen as well or better.)
Handier than my small SA knife. November 29, 2002 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
LOVE Swiss Army. I find the card very, very convenient to use-- ...As for complaints about breakage, any tool you don't take care of will break. Tucked in my wallet, mine has held up well.If the cards were made in pink, I'd buy a handfull for my women friends for Christmas.
Best money I ever spent on myself November 20, 2004 Shannon (USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this very card in Swizerland over three years ago and I still carry it in my purse today. I would sooner leave the house without my wallet than forget this handy lady's toolkit. I have no idea how many Euros I plopped down for this neat little card, but it was a steal! Reading the others' reviews, they claim durability is a problem. Trust me, if this thing can survive three years in the bottom of my bag without cracking or chipping or breaking entirely, it's passed some pretty strict tests. BUY IT!
