Flying Turtle January 11, 2007 Michele F. Russo 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
My kids love it! They ride them everyday! Very well manufactured. Great toy and great exercise for the upper body!
Great Fun January 17, 2007 E. Jenkins 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is something that the whole family can enjoy. You do need to have a flat surface to use it. It is very hard to go up an incline. Everyone that comes over to our house has to try it. We bought two of them so that we can have races which is a lot of fun.
great on even cement surface June 13, 2007 David Long (Berkeley Heights, NJ) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 2 and a half year old son tried this at Dutch Wonderland amusement park. He loved it. They were having very smooth and flat cement surface there and the racers were very easily gliding around. How they work on an asphalt I don't know, but from what I've seen, I agree that they won't operate if there is an incline.
Not Bad If Conditions Are Right January 6, 2008 T. Leach (Mid-West) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a fun toy and the kids get a lot of amused looks when they ride on it. It works well when the conditions are right, and not at all when they are wrong. The "right" conditions are a flat and smooth surface (asphalt or concrete - doesn't matter) that is completely free of gravel or any any debris. Under those conditions, the design works fine. Just sit on it, start moving the handles, and the motion of the front wheels "magically" pulls you along. A little pricey for what you get and the limited usefulness, but it's a fun toy if the price doesn't matter and you have the right space to use it. (Let me emphasize again - if you don't have these conditions, you'll NEVER use it.)
Great Christmas present November 14, 2006 FLOT10 (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got a flying turtle the Christmas I was 4 years old. That was 36 Christmases ago and my mother still has it. All 12 of her grandchildren have enjoyed riding the 'turtle' and it still works almost as good as new. The tires could use replacing, but what do you expect after that long!? I think she said she paid a whopping $25 for it in 1970! So the price hasn't gone up that much if you count inflation!
