My 3 year old recieved this as a Christmas gift and she loves it! ($39.00 at Kmart) We have had no trouble at all with ours and actually had to run out and buy one for our 5yr old son too! Both kids like to fall asleep with it projecting on the ceiling and the night time setting turns it off automatically when the story is complete. Other reviews for this product mentioned that it is out of focus unless really close. Ours focuses great from 5-10 feet away and is a large crisp image. We did have to turn the foucs knob several times (which may be the step the other reviewer missed) but now we don't even have to mess with it. I'm hoping to purchase other books for the projectors but they do not seem to be sold in department stores which may be my only complaint. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase!

I was really excited to get this for my boys. The unfortunate part is this toy is so fickle. It doesn't always want to play after you insert a cartridge and any little bit of motion will send the thing off again. There are no fix it type solutions, you just have to keep reinserting the cartridge and hope that it will decide to work. If I had all the packaging I would take it back. I would not recommend this product, it was such a disappointment, especially to my boys who don't quite understand why they can't see or hear the stories.

It is a great idea, but the parts are to cheap. I would have paid more to have something that worked. The springs for the batteries fell out when I opened it up to insert the batteries. It didn't work the first few times we tried it, and thought we had a bad batch of batteries. When it started to play we were so excited but before we put it down to play it stopped. I decided to take the batteries out and put it aside to work with at another time, however while taking out the batteries one of the springs came out and now I cant find it. I just have nothing good to say about it except that it looks good on the outside.

This is a bedtime favorite around our house! My kids love these stories. Like a previous poster, we ended up buying one for our son after finding out how much our daughter loved this. It was a great christmas gift. Fun, entertaining, and educational.
We had one problem with it when we first tried it, but we figured out that the cartridge wasn't inserted correctly. Since then, it's worked just fine. We just make sure the kids don't bump it. At night, when they watch it before bed, we lay it on the floor facing the ceiling. That way, they can't move/bump it and they fall asleep watching it. It's been great!
