Editorial Review There are only seven pieces in this puzzle, so it should be easy. Right? Guess again! Sixty puzzle cards show 60 three-dimensional structures for players to replicate using the seven pieces. Each of the pieces, based on three or four connected cubes, is unique. One is an L shape, another a T, and they get more complicated from there. If a player is stumped and can't figure out how to build the Long Wall, the Snake, or the Bad Dog, there are helpful clues on the back of the cards. Players also can use the pieces to invent their own structures. Originally known as the Soma Cube, Block by Block is an excellent way to develop and refine spatial perception skills. Includes drawstring bag for storage. --Wendy Slotboom

Wow this is hard! July 21, 1999 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
For the ultimate challenge in spatial relations try out this game. It's like a three dimensional tangram and it is really tough. For a great time bring this to a party and work on the solutions as a group. Personally, I think 8 years old is probably a little young for this game. I'd suggest 12+ unless the children are teamed up with an adult.
I played this 30 years ago and loved it. November 10, 1999 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
once you start on this you're hooked! my friends and I worked on those puzzles when we were out at sea and the images and feel of the cubes remains with me to this day.
Great Fun for Whole Family October 21, 2005 Bernard J. Meighen (Green Bay, WI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is great. I opened up the box when I got it in the mail and started playing with it right away. My family soon got to join in and we have enjoyed this game over and over again for hours on end. I love the fact that the game comes with a little tote baggie that you can take with you nearly anywhere. It's great fun at a great price and it makes your mind have to work unlike alot of games and toys nowadays.
3-D FUN! January 9, 2007 Dr. Gayle Nicoll 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first my 7 year old had a bit of difficulty with the concept, but once she figured it out, she loves it! The idea is to use the cube combos that come in the package to make the designed printed on the cards that come with the set. It sounds easy, but it is rather challenging. It builds spatial perception and logical thinking in a game!
Block by Block Great Puzzle June 26, 2006 Block by block 3D Puzzle is a great puzzle. Would recommend this to any child from 6th grade on up.
