HT-ZS11 - Electronic Sudoku June 14, 2007 D. Sain (Minneapolis, MN USA) 32 out of 34 found this review helpful
I have not tried other electronic sudoku products, so I cannot tell you how this one compares. It has a touch screen and backlight. I can tell you that I am not 100% satisfied in comparison to web sudoku: the screen is obviously smaller, the digits are harder to see, and therefore solving is more difficult as you struggle to search. You can only use it with backlight, without it it's too hard to see. There is a certain angle you should hold the device at to get the best view, otherwise the digits are not that clear. Once you have started the game, you cannot reset it or cancel until you finish (you must remove the batteries or use a needle in the reset hole). Your score stays for only a few seconds to review. The screen quality seems poor. It is enough to play the game, I guess, and you can get used to the screen. I was looking for a perfect electronic sudoku game that can have touch screen, back light, where digits are easy to see (large digits and screen, good resolution), you can reset the game, has difficulty levels and hundreds of thousands of puzzles. This one came closest based on reviews of other products and its features, but is far from perfect. I must say that none of the other products seems perfect either - web sudoku is the best option. However, if you need something portable from time to time, this could be an imperfect but suitable option.
This is a good product April 6, 2007 R. V. Alexander 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
I really liked this ELECTRONIC SUDOKU game. The screen is easy to read thanks to the backlight. The only thing that I don't like is the very high sensitivity of the screen: you barely touch it, and you might end up selecting a game of a difficulty level that does not suit you.
Good for the Money September 5, 2007 C. Comforts (Milwaukie, OR United States) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Considering the cost of Sudoku puzzle books, the price is a good deal. It has a few places where you really have to push and push to get the number in the square. The instructions could be better. Scoring is a bit strange, and your stuck with a puzzle once you start it. But, over all, it is a handy toy. The backlight is good, and the size and shape are nice on the hands. Gives three levels of difficulity, hints, answers, and pause button. Have enjoyed the entertainment.
Touch Screen Sudoku July 14, 2007 Tweety (Oklahoma) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Excellent product for the price! Back light is powerful enough to see the numbers clearly in many different settings. Sound can be turned off so others don't get annoyed. The stylus stays secure in the compartment so it won't get lost. Best of all, there are varying levels of play with tons of games in each level! Unit is small enough to stick in purse, backpack, computer bag, etc. A very satisfying purchase if you are a Sudoku fan!
Stylus for the Game July 5, 2007 TiMC 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
The stylus for the game is inside the game. Check upper right corner next to the backlight switch. The grey oval mark is top part of the stylus, which can be pulled out for use.
