Great puzzle for preschooler November 22, 2007 Davis Mom (Davis, CA USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My 3-year-old and I really like working on this puzzle together. (She can't do it alone. I expect a 4-year-old could. The recommended 6-9 age seems too old.) I think the size of a floor puzzle gives her more of a sense of accomplishment than a standard sized puzzle. The pieces link nicely so that you get a bit of the next person as you go around the circle. (The last piece of the American boy links into the Chinese girl so you know which character to look for next.) The pictures of kids from other countries gives a segue to the concept of people from other parts of the world. And they list the country names, so you don't have to feel like an idiot. ;) Melissa & Doug never let me down. This is another good, quality toy.
A Welcome Change! November 24, 2007 NickiCarm (Monticello, NY USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is a pleasure to divert my granddaughter's attention from yellow, orange and red plastic objects to this calming and educational-as-an-adult-makes it puzzle! I liked it enough to buy the fire engine puzzle twice; once for each of my grandsons! When they are completed, have an older child sketch what he or she sees for extended interest.

LOVE this puzzle. Melissa and Doug puzzles are well made and beautiful. Great way to teach countries and costumes. My 3 year old loves it.
Fun, bright, and educational October 22, 2007 La Sleepy (Atlanta, GA United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this for my little sister. It was easy to put together and very fun for the both of us. The colors were soo vibrant and the puzzle was larger than I expected! Great for kids! Definitely will buy for another child.
Great puzzle for preschoolers needing a bigger challenge March 4, 2008 Christine M. Klein (Fort Lauderdale, FL USA) My three year old quickly grew tired of his basic puzzles, so it was time to upgrade. He's four now and does this puzzle with ease (although not at first). He used to ask for help with it, but now he's so proud to finish it completely on his own. The colors are great, and I love how it teaches about different cultures.
