We gave this to our son for his 6th birthday. He is intrigued by the Titanic, and loved this toy. It was great for him to use in the tub or the pool, but the on/off swithch broke after 2 weeks. He still uses it and doesn't seem to mind that it won't "drive" anymore. For the price I paid, I'm not too upset either.

5 out of 5 stars Not a bad Titanic toy   May 8, 2008

I've always wanted a battery powered Titanic to use in some of the local ponds around here. Radio controlled Titanics are just to expensive for me. But this fit the bill. Not a bad model of the Titanic. If you build models, you can take out your paints and improve some of the details (like painting in the windows). I've had fun with it, and that's all I was looking for.

4 out of 5 stars surprisingly fast   May 12, 2008

My son is very happy with this ship. We are surprised at how fast it moves even thought is has a very small propeller. It does seem that the four tiny screws that have to be removed to install the batteries are starting to rust, but fortunately they provide four extra screws in the hull of the ship, taped to the bottom, I suppose these are to replace rusted or lost screws. It also seems that the hull is water tight.
