Educational Fun! August 27, 2007 Mama Bear 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 3 year old loves all 4 puzzles. He learned his colors from doing the colors puzzle. I had to help him at first, but shortly after he was able to do them by himself. I didn't think that he would enjoy these puzzles as much as he has! Another thing I like is how sturdy the pieces are. They don't bend easily and you can even put the puzzles together on carpet. I recommend this for beginners and to parents who want their young ones to start learning their basics.
not like other Melissa & Doug puzzles June 19, 2007 Mil Math (Sunnyvale, CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The packaging leaves something to be desired. All four puzzles come in one box, the pieces jumbled together. True to its name, it is a floor puzzle and does not have a wooden board (like other Melissa & Doug puzzles) to build the puzzle on. The pieces are however, the same good quality, nice and thick. The size of each piece is also larger (jumbo - as the name suggests) so better for beginners to work with.
My daughter loves it. July 30, 2007 austinmom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my daughter's first puzzle and learned to do puzzles with it. The colors are very bright and attractive. The pieces are large and easy for the little hands to handle. The designs range from really easy (the color theme) and more challenging (the alphabet theme). A great puzzle all in all. I don't have problem with the fact that all pieces are mixed in one box. The pieces are stamped on the back with shapes representing each design. It has been a great way to teach my daughter to sort based on the stamps. And once she has the pieces for a particular design picked out, we enjoy counting them to make sure all 12 pieces are there.
Love Melissa and Doug products November 14, 2007 Madhuri Reddy (Austin, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was the first Melissa and Doug product I got for my then 2 year old. The puzzles were easy for him to work with, the pieces were big enough and fun to put together.
Great first jigsaw puzzle November 25, 2007 K. Stryker (Beverly Hills, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter received this puzzle as a gift when she turned 2 and she could do it quite easily by herself so I suggest buying it for a slightly younger child. She's 3 1/2 now and still loves to do this puzzle. It's very durable and still looks shiny, new and has no bends or tears. It's really well made. We love to buy this as a gift for friends now because we've had such a great experience.
