There's lots of buzz in this stage performance by Barney and the gang at Radio City Music Hall. The musical extravaganza has plenty of bright colors, great sets and props, super costumes, and even an airplane. What's more, there's a story: a character called the Winkster takes the Barney bag, which is full of magic. Barney and company have to teach him to share in order to get the bag back. Among the live songs are "The More We Get Together" and "Mr. Knickerbocker." --Tom Keogh

One of the best Barney videos ever! December 31, 1999

In my opinion, this is one of the best Barney videos ever! My whole family enjoys it--not only the children! It keeps children's attention for the whole 75 minutes. It includes the characters: Barney, Baby Bop, BJ, Shawn, Derek, Tosha, Kathy, Carlos, Min, Julie, Kelly, and the Winkster! It has traditional songs like: Mr. Knickerbocker, Ring around the Rosies, If all the raindrops..., Me and My Teddy, and Everyone is Special. This is one of my personal favorites, and I highly recommend this to anyone!

This video captures all the excitement of Barney's live stage show, and includes a wide assortment of creatively presented children's songs. My two-year-old daughter really loves this video. In addition to Barney and his friends, kids will also be amused by the Winkster, who is a clever, leprochaun-like character with a funny voice and dance (he steals the Barney Bag!). Other favorite scenes include a dancing baby elephant, a cute little bird hatching out of an egg, and several silly "monkeys" jumping on a bed. Older kids like this one too (my 4-year-old niece and my 6-year-old and 8-year-old nephews enjoy it).

I can't stand Barney. My two pre-schoolers have different views, and so I got them this tape of a live show from Radio City, New York City. It has a weak plot that gives Barney and company execuses to do many of my children's favorite songs. The cast includes many from the TV show (as opposed to more recent tapes of live shows that feature child actors who did not appear on the show), and this makes the video more fun for my children. While Barney is not for adult tastes, this video contains nothing that will frighten or harm children, and many will enjoy the singing and dancing. Given the garbage that is on TV, I would rather have my children watching Barney, even though he drives me crazy.

MY KIDS HAV BEEN WATCHING THIS TAPE FOR OVER A YEAR, IT IS THE BEST BABYSITTER WE EVER HAD! I CAN'T GET THEIR ATTENTION WHEN BARNEY IS ON. IT'S LIKE I DON'T EXIST. SIGNED.......THEIR DAD.
