Incorporates both aerobics and strength training January 31, 1999 46 out of 47 found this review helpful
Great Video for the intermediate/advanced exerciser. Perfect for the days you miss your Jazzercise class or just need an extra workout.. Though the workout is long (70 minutes) you will be glad you did it!
A fun workout! March 15, 2002 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
I attended Jazzercise classes for years until our instructors quit teaching and/or moved away. I'm in my late 40s now, so the impact of regular Jazzercise would be a bit hard on my knees these days, but I always loved the fun and upbeat classes. I obtained this circuit training video when it was first released after I started doing step aerobics, which was a little lower impact for me. As usual, I loved Judi's teaching style, and with the other participants on the tape, it almost feels like attending a class. The cueing is excellent, and as always there are lots of safety and technique tips. The video is rather long, but if you have the time to do it, it is a great workout. The instructional portion at the beginning of the tape is very well done.I would rate this video at least intermediate level, and it would definitely be helpful to be familiar with Jazzercise, because many of the moves off the step are classic Jazzercise. However, almost anyone who is not super coordinated could do it with a little practice.
