Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden guide viewers through five yoga sets to relieve common ailments. While they do warn that these movements are designed for minor ailments (of course, if your ailments are more serious, you should check with a physician) and do not replace a doctor's consultation, these simple and gentle movements should help alleviate aches and pains associated with stress, indigestion, fatigue, headache, and back problems. The video begins with conscious breathing, which is helpful no matter what your complaint. Then individual problems are addressed separately in five segments of approximately eight minutes each. Props are needed: a wall to lean against, a yoga brick, an eye bag, a strap, a chair, and folded blankets. Yee's soothing voice, the gentle lapping waves of the beach in Hawaii, and the relaxing yoga positions will help restore your inner peace and reduce your tensions. --Jenny Brown

5 out of 5 stars Great for every day ailments   July 1, 2001

In this tape you will see Susanne Deason, Patricia Walden and Rodney Yee offer natural solutions to every day problems. Before popping that pill try these remedies. Through the video you will hear Rodney's soothing voice witch is calming for even the worst headache. Sometimes you will feel an immediate, profound relief that will leave you glad you have this tape. Most of the listed props are only used in certain sections. A chair for fatigue. Bolsters (blankets will work fine) in the back pain section. In the headache section you really do need the blankets and blocks. I recommend investing in the Mats, block, and strap set that is sold on this site in the health and beauty section. This should be all you need. Bolsters are nice but expensive and not vital to the workout. All in all a great video for people who are looking for a Quick and easy solution to every day problems.

5 out of 5 stars Love this tape!   March 30, 2001

This tape is easy to follow and offers great poses.

Each "remedy" consists of a few nice poses - and each takes maybe 5-7 minutes. You can just do one set or several - it's hard to just stop at one.

It's great for a 'quickie' workout or a whole body session.

I love it! Great for beginners too!

5 out of 5 stars Bravo--Anyone can follow.   May 5, 2002

This tape is a great source of instruction for the total novice as well as the more advanced student of yoga. Rodney Yee and the other instructors demonstrate healing poses for common health problems both with and without props and modifications for beginners.

Like most tapes in this series, there is too much time given to advertising at the beginning.
