I use this video in my Interpersonal Communication classes at a community college. My students really like it. Canfield gives excellent information on self concept and what we can do to increase our own self esteem. His use of statistics, research, stories, personal examples and specific exercises make the video something everyone can relate to. I think it can positively change the way people think about themselves and how they relate to others. It's a video one would watch many times and share with other important people in one's life.

I used this video some years ago and found it to be especially helpful. Like all self help material the receipent has to be ready and open to receive guidance. I was. I also lent it to a buddy of mine, he quit his monotnous job, started his own engineering company and now has a thriving business. I'd say that's evidence of it's utility.
