The friendly Tyrannosaurus rex and his quartet of cute kids learn about their neighborhood in this 50-minute tape with a '50s rock & roll-flavored title song so catchy that it's reprised. It all starts when Debra the Delivery Lady arrives with a slew of packages that are missing address labels. Barney and the kids bravely volunteer to find the rightful owners of said packages and set out with the boxes piled high in Baby Bop's wagon. As they walk through the town center dancing and handing out the parcels, they learn about each shop. Barney gets in the spirit of things by donning an apron at Bouffant's Barber Shop and giving the kids some wild 'dos and waiting on them, complete with tux, at the PB&J Cafe. In the end, they go home to find Debra has delivered some huge leftover boxes as a reward for their trouble. So the kids build their own neighborhood. Hence the reprise. --Kimberly Heinrichs

5 out of 5 stars Great fun!   September 29, 1999

My 2 1/2 yr old daugter loves anything Barney, but she specifically asks for this tape by name. The songs are new, lively and catchy-great for parentswho are tired of the same old songs. I actually fine myself singing along to some of these. My daughter loves to imitate some of the sketches and dances, especially the title song. I can't recommend this enough! Whoever wrote the songs for this movie should do another!

This video is one of the best video's I have seen of Barney. As a mother of a 18 month old who cannot get enough of Barney, this one really catched his eye. My son is very active and does not sit still for anything except this video. It was a great treat to see him really get into the video by singing and dancing to the wonderful songs. I highly recommend this movie to any parent.

2 out of 5 stars Not one of the better Barney videos   June 8, 2000

As usual the singing and dancing is entertaining, but my daughter loses interest when they visit the people in the neighborhood (baker, hairdresser, etc.) as there is too much talking and too many adults. First half is good. Rewind back to the beginning once they reach the baker.

My 16 month old daughter LOVES this tape. I can now sing all the songs myself. We own about 20 diffrent Barney tapes, and this is her very favorite!
