Description Let's Go Potty is the the only live-action video parental aid made for parents. It is the only video of its kind given the approval of the National Parenting Center (that's the eqivalent of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval). Dr. Betti Hertzberg (Dr. Betti) produced this video to ease the transition for both parents and children. Just as important, proper and successful potty training works as a deterent to child abuse. Dr. Betti has seen numerous cases of child abuse stemming from parents who have disciplined their children for having had an "accident". While this may seem hard to believe for most parents, there are many documented incidents. About Dr. Betti: Dr. Betti is a Board Certified Pediatrician with three children of her own. She has been a featured guest on ABC's "Good Morning America" (speaking about toilet training), a contributing writer for Parent's Magazine on children's heatlh issues, an expert source and guest speaker for channels 4, 6 & 10 news stations for their articles on topics related to children's health, CBS News contributor on the Effects of the Gulf War on Children, a speaker on WLRN and an international guest speaker on pediatrics. Dr. Betti has taught classes on parenting at Miami Children's Hospital, and has taught medical students at the University of South Florida. She is also a past member of the Eli Lilly Drug Company Advisory Board. In 1994, Dr. Betti co-authored her first book, "Dr's Book on Home Remedies for Children" (Rodeo Press). Dr. Betti is your source for solutions to your child's health problems as well as for you, the parent. She is a thorough professional, a concerned doctor and a caring parent.

A complete waste of money & time November 21, 2004 Back in the Market 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I thought from some of the other reviews that my son would enjoy watching this and learn more about using the potty from other kids. He just turned two and we are just starting to explore potty training. This is a very, very basic instructional video aimed at parents who don't have a clue as to where to begin. Additionally I thought "Dr. Betty's" approach to potty training was so low key that parents using this method might find themselves with a 1st grader still wearing pull up diapers. This video is getting tossed in the yard sale box.
The joy of watching your son achieve success! September 28, 2002 michael a glick (Florida) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
When my cousin related how he and his wife were not succeeding at toilet training their son, I had heard another friend of mine talk about how easy it was using some tape his wife had purchased. I found out the tape was called "Let's Go Potty", and sent a copy to my cousin. Both he and his wife have still not stopped thanking me for that tape. While it is not 'instant magic', it did provide a 'live action' pediatrician's INFORMATION and EXAMPLES to move their son into dry toilet training undies quicker than they expected. My cousins said that Dr. Betti Hertzberg did a great job of making the presentation to them, and say "THANKS Dr. Betti".
Very disappointed. February 21, 2002 Jean Jones (Cookeville, TN United States) 13 out of 32 found this review helpful
When I ordered this video, I based my decision on the ratings it had received. I was very excited when I finally received it and sat down as soon as I got home to watch it. I watched the entire video and at the end was very disappointed with the content. I was so hoping to get some new insight on potty training my son. But this video showed me absolutely nothing I didn't already know and hadn't already tried. I'm sure this video would be great for those parents who don't have the first ounce of common sense.
Terrific Video for Parent as well as Child December 31, 2000 30 out of 33 found this review helpful
This video was a great overview of the toilet training process. Perfect for busy parents. Dr. Hertzberg outlines the steps of the process in a concise, intelligent way. She discusses readiness (child's readiness, as well as the parent's emotional preparation for the process!), staying motivated, positive encouragement with emphasis on self-esteem, how to best reward successes and why a child may experience regression. I particularly liked her viewpoint on hygiene. This video is great information for parents. But the bonus I found while I watched is my 23 month old son watched it with me, with great interest! The whole video! I think he liked seeing other children in action. I use this video to keep us both on task.
