Why do so many people collect Beanie Babies? They're cute and, as an added bonus, children polish their math skills while tracking the value of their collections. And, of course, grownups think there's tons of money to be made reselling them. All three are given as reasons in this relatively uninformative hour that plays like a homemade video, complete with a cue-card-reading child host. Even casual collectors will be familiar with most of the material, which mainly amounts to a Beanie Baby name-athon. Broader issues are touched on, such as the booming secondary and accessories markets and the takeoff of other cuddly collectibles. Truly useful information, such as learning how to estimate the value of a collection via the Internet or an impartial assessment of Beanie Baby investing in the long term, is sadly nowhere to be found. --Valerie J.  Buying it for Xmas gifts. December 4, 1998
Given your reasonable price, my wife and I purchased 3 Beanie tapes as Xmas gifts. Seems like every kid we know has Beanie fever. Onlly problem we could not wait until Xmas to see program, so we opened one up to view. It's a fun video, very educational. We did not know so many people treat this hobby as a religion. We are sure our nieces and nephews will get a kick from receiving this Beanie tape.

I found this to be an enjoyable video. My kids listened closely as the experts gave their opinions and advice. The people speaking have a lot of enthusiasm in their presentation. The kids have watched it a couple times so far. It seems to cover every aspects of beanie babies. Now if the kids would take their homework this seriously.
 Very Fun & Informative Guide to Beanies! December 4, 1998
I just finished watching this tape on collecting beanies because my wife, an avid collector of Ty Beanies, made me watch it. I expected to be bored out of my mind, but was pleasantly surprised by the content...I had no idea Beanies had so many shapes and forms! The girl narrating it was a little stiff, sure, but if you ignore that you find there is a lot of good info on this tape. I have a lot of friends who are collectors and I plan on puchasing this video as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. If you have any interest in Beanies or Beanie collecting, this is a great guide!

As Beanie maniacs, we were pleased to find this tape on amazon.com. It's interesting how the collectors have created all this energy and activity over these little animals. Collecting Beanies For Fun & Profit does a nice job conveying the fun, issues and certainly presents a zillion colorful shots of the little critters.

I jst finished watching a terrific little documentary on those crazy Beanies...what a lot of help it was! I'm just starting out as a collector, and I plan on using this video whenever I make a Beanie purchase...highly recommended!
