Great tool for teaching Children October 6, 2003

This espisode was designed to help parents better understand tragedy from a child's point of view and to foster family discussions. Perspectives are given by leading psychologists, sociologists, educators, and a White House National Policy Advisor, as well as parents from all walks of life. Families who have coped with crisis in the past share personal stories. From the loss of a close relative or even a pet, to national trauma like 9/11, the events are used as examples and as settings to tell the story. Combing powerful visuals with important information, "parenting in times of crisis" can help families deal with past crisis and be better prepared to the face the future.
