Fun and excitement under the sea October 21, 2001 Michael J. Mazza (Pittsburgh, PA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Crayola Kids Adventures version of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" is a video that my 5-year old nephew really likes, and I enjoyed it too. Inspired by Jules Verne's novel of the same title, this video features an all-kid cast. As the story unfolds, a scientist and his sister investigate a mystery at sea. Together with a cocky harpoonist, they meet Captain Nemo, the commander of an advanced submarine. A couple of songs are included with the underseas adventures.Watching this video, I was reminded of the 1970s film "Bugsy Malone"--like the Crayola "20,000 Leagues," that film featured kids playing adult characters, and also featured musical numbers. "20,000 Leagues" features good special effects, sets, and costumes, and the young cast members do good jobs with their roles. There are some effective action sequences, and nice humorous touches. Recommended for family viewing.
It's GREAT for Kids! July 13, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is one of those truly wholesome videos for kids that are hard to find these days. My kids love this video and the others with the Crayola Kids. I know that I have nothing to worry about when they are watching these wonderful shows. Excellent.

This is good family entertainment with great songs. The child actors and a script that isn't dumbed-down are at least two of the reasons this video is one of my sons' (ages 4 and 6) continual favorites.
I loved it February 27, 1999 Amanda (skittlesap@aol.com) (Cerulean City) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I saw this movie last year and I was actually a little to old old for it. I thought it was a cute movie ( With a cute actor as Ned Land) My little brother loved it and wanted to write that he was Nemo. He didn't get the right concept, but the entire family loved this video and the others in this series.
