Entertaining All Through the Night January 11, 2002 R. Cash (Cedar City, UT) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Although this game is really old (for a video game anyway0 it still ensnares you with its simplicity, and its simple but addicting gameplay. As you (or you and your friend, because it is two player) journey through a series of "caves" you blow bubbles that capture enemies, and pop them as well to advance to the next level. There are over 100 hundred levels that come in different shapes and with different enemies as well. I can honestly say that I can sit down and play this game for hours on end, and still be entertained FOREVER. Bubble Bobble definately ranks high on my list of most entertaining games to play. This one is a must get if you are afan of old school video games, it is a classic that entertaines the player very quickly and easily.
The best game for NES November 25, 2001 Nicole Alger (Belmont, CA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Even today, I could play this game for hours. It is sort of like a puzzle: the object is to capture all of the enemies into bubbles and then pop them before the bubble bursts and the enemy escapes. Once you have cleared all the enemies, you advance to the next level. You can play with one player or two, and you can always continue. There are extras that you can get within the level: letters to spell EXTEND, which will advance you to the next level and award an extra man, a shoe that makes the little dinosaurs run fast, candy which alters the type of bubbles you can blow, an umbrella which allows you to skip a few levels, a heart which freezes all of the enemies and allows the dinosaurs to hit them (even if they aren't in bubbles), and much more. I think that this game is one of the best games for NES, if not the best one.

I started playing Bubble Bobble as soon as it came out. I don't know when that was, but I'm now 19 and I still love playing it. My sister and I gave our NES system to my grandma so we could play that when we're over for holidays. We'll still stay up until 2 oclock in the morning playing this game. We've still never beaten level 100, though. We have all the codes and skip the ones that are hard....(78). This is a great game.
