3 out of 5 stars meh   July 1, 2008
Kristen (Washington)
I bought this game on xbox 360 because I had a lot of fun playing it with my sister on wii. It is not the same. I found it was difficult, and boring. The graphics are better on 360, and that was kind of cool, but I am not even sure if its the same storyline. I know for sure there are things in the xbox version I never saw on the wii (and vis versa). I recommend renting this first to see if its your kind of thing or not. Don't waste the money without trying it out.

3 out of 5 stars It's a Double Negative   May 16, 2008

This product is a double negative. It's so bad, it's good. That might seem strange, but I'll explain why in a minute.

This video games retells the events in the last two Pirates of the Caribbean movies. However, if you're serious about the story, skip this. This video game doesn't retell the story very accuratly. Only half of the plot details happened in the movie.

As for graphics, I agree with the other reviewers. The animation is not glitchy and looks very nice. However, Jack Sparrow's peculiar movements looked more entertaining in the movie. In this game, Jack Sparrow looks over animated; like he's too drunk to stand up (but miraculously talk straight). Other than that, nice graphics. For a game developed for a fast release, it certainly looks pretty.

Now we get to the big question. Gameplay... The gameplay is seriously boring. Serious video gamers will be un-entertained and would rather play Halo. However, people who have had bad days will love this game. If you want a game that is easy to play and win, you can play this. If you've overworked your brain in the office, you can come home and let this game play itself for you. This game is a stress reliever.

If you're a serious video gamer, than done bother renting this. However, if you do get a copy, save it for a very miserable day.

4 out of 5 stars For the Priate In all of Us!   March 30, 2008
David A. Troutman (Orange County, CA USA)
Priates 3 game is about as good as a pirate game that you can find. This game takes you thorugh some areas that the movie only touches and the dueling system once it was perfected was about as good as it can be. The only problem wit this game is that you feel as if you are limitted to the moves and the finishes that all the characters have. It does feel as if it was missing something to make it a creat game but I still enjoyed playing it.

5 out of 5 stars Best looking game I've ever played!   September 9, 2007

Honestly, I purchased this game not expecting much, I mean really most pirate games are horrible to play and or look at... This game just blew me away with its high definition graphics on my hdtv 52 inch screen. I own Oblivion,Resistance fall of man and Bio shock and they can't compare to this games graphics... The sword duel during the maelstrom is well worth the price of the whole game.

The sword fighting and duels are fun and interesting and require more attention than mindless button mashing.

My only problem is the game is over to quick, waaaay to quick. I really wish it were more open ended like Oblivion to give it more replay value.
