Product Description Garfield has lost his Pooky bear and its your job to help find Pooky by controlling Garfield in his search. The search for Pooky will take Garfield through his most known locales,he will meet the other characters (like Jon, Odie, Arlene, etc.), and of course encounter typical Garfield elements like spiders, food, mice, dogs, etc. During his search Garfield will inevitably eat food and lots of it of course. In the game food will also represent energy. The more food Garfield eats, the more

Just for Kids... March 11, 2006 IbeforeJ (PA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm a big fan of Garfield and Pooky, so I thought this game might be a fun way to pass the time. Unfortunately, it's just way too easy and not a lot of fun to play. I played it for about 20 minutes and then it was up on eBay. Basically, you play the game as Garfield- one annoying thing right from the get-go is that the intro-movie has to be manually paged through by pressing a button. I'm used to automated movies and found this to be a tad annoying. When you finally get to the game, the first objective is to collect the mice on each level/room of the house. The levels are set up like most 2D games where it's a forward linear movement with some multi-level spots (where Garfield can jump onto platforms/shelves/etc.) When you collect the first mouse (which is not challenging at all, since they don't run from you- you just walk right up and grab them) you have to take it back to the cage at the front or back of the house. Sounds good so far... but wait. You then have to go find the next mouse- again, not a challenging catch- and now you have to walk ALL the way back to the cage again (which can take a few minutes depending on your position). Garfield walks pretty slow, so this process is about as boring as it gets. I understand that it wouldn't be factual to have Garfield jogging across the house, but this part of the gameplay ruined it for me. After catching all 4 or 5 mice on the first level, you then advance to the second level (the kitchen.) Well, now you get to do it all over again. Ick. This is the point where I popped the game out of my DS. Overall, this game might be fun for kids, but for adults expecting something a little entertaining, look elsewhere.
Garfield FINALLY for gameboy advance! December 20, 2005 Luckydog (Massachusetts) 3 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is the first garfield game for gameboy advance! I bet if I get this for christmas, I'll play it every half hour! I'm serious here, even if the price is high for this game, you still should buy it, because it looks really fun! For a right game, it's a right price. When you buy it, you will be glad you got it in the first place! As I said again, I would wish for millions of copys of this garfield game: the search for pooky. You AND your family will love it. Even older adults will want to play this! Oh, and here's a hint: This gafield game is not avalible at walmart, target, or SOME eb game stores. If you can't find the garfield game in stores, order it online at amazon.com
Goodie! And here's the GARFIELD GAME history! December 21, 2005 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
A week of Garfield (NES,1989) Where's Odie? What happened? Help Garfield find him! Pros: Good gameplay; Cool colors and sound. Cons: No extra tries nor continues; Japenese only Caught in the act (Genesis and Game Gear, 1994) Uh oh! The evil glitch has zapped Garfield into the TV! How can he escape? Stay tuned! Pros: Good graphics and sounds; Great everything; Includes minigame Cons: Still no voices. Garfield labyrinth (Gameboy, unknown release year) Garfield got trapped! He's in a maze now! Pros: Good weapons; Great ways to escape Cons: When something overlaps Garfield, he loses a life. Caught in the act (PC, 1995) Garfield (PC, 2004) Why did Odie trash the house? Play to clean the whole thing! Pros: Explore Garfield's home and neighberhood; Cool new voice Cons: Nothing The search for Pooky (GBA, 2005) This is what over here is! Two mice, took Pooky hostage! Pros: Great cartoonish graphics; Goodies Cons: I hope there's voices and a way to fight enemies. And coming soon! The Bound for home (Nintendo DS, 2006) I don't yet know the story, but I've seen the front case art. Pros: Nothing yet Cons: Nothing yet

This game is fun to play! You are searching for pookie, the mice have stolen it! First level you have to catch all the mice in the house before john lets you out then the next level your outside in the yard with odie digging up the yard to see if the mice buried him the the yard! You do have opticals in you way to get through in the first level it's bees in the second it's butterflies cause you have to get rid of things that will distract odie from digging!!
Like the pie to Garfield's face, this game is KERSPLAT! August 24, 2006 G. Yang (CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a HUGE fan of Garfield. I have read EVERY single comic strip of Garfield, since day 1 it has been out. I recieve emails on Garfield comics everyday, since it updates everyday with one comic strip. When I saw this game, I thought this would be the cutest game, and perhaps fun. My boyfriend and I tried it out, and we thought it was the DULLEST game out there. It was no fun at all. All you do is collect things and put into cages and make sure you eat things. The jumps he does are HORRIBLE. It is either over-simplistic, or just plain lame. I was obviously very disappointed in this game, coming as one big fan of Garfield's. I immediately sold it back to EB games.. I didn't even want to wait for ebay bids--I wanted it off my hands ASAP. This game? DON'T BUY IT!
