Great Game October 1, 2004 Skatedudeguy 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This game was outstanding. I am a huge fan of the f-zero series, and let me just say that the game feels right. The control is great, the story mode is well-done (more story could have been nice, but it's still enjoyable), and the grand prix mode will take a good chunk of your time. The ONLY complaint: it's to darn short. I easily beat this thing in a weekend, but that doesn't mean that I don't pick it up every day... Recommended
Jeez! Could this game get any better?! March 1, 2005 Shorty K (New York, MP USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
WOW! I couldn't have been more impressed by this one game! The soundtrack is a little annoying (except for the Port Town and Mute City music), but that didn't really matter! There are 34 vehicles in this game that each have their pros and cons. One of the best vehicles in the game is the Blue Falcon, Twinoritta, and the Red Gazelle. The levels were pretty cool, too. Some levels are really annoying, though, like the Illusion level. They have no Electric Bumpers, and the Fire Field level, because of the mines on the ground... The only flaw to this game is that it is WAY too short. The story line is a little tiny, they could've added more, but I still enjoyed it. I got every single vehicle in the game in 2 days, and even got the Platinum Cup ( you have to unlock that cup) and beat it on the Expert class! Only because I stayed up all day and night playing this game, I am a game freak and I am addicted to this game. My favorite character in the game is probably Jack, C.Falcon, or Rick W., or even Black Shadow. Well, I don't want to give up all of the game, so I'll leave the rest for YOU to find out. Only you can decide the fate of protecting Mute City, and the WORLD!!!!
As good as its GCN counterpart (and that is saying something March 4, 2005 NecroComicon (The Inn at Innsmouth) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
F-Zero GX for the gamecube blew gamers away with its release, great graphics and truly challenging gameplay. The problem was the GBA release called Max Velocity, as another reviewer has stated was a pale shadow of a racer especially GX. It offered one gameplay mode essentially and was just too hard to control on the little system. Then last year Nintendo dropped F-Zero GP Legend to coincide with the Fox cartoon series. What a difference, excellent variety of gameplay modes with a diffuculty level that actually is playable. Last night challenging the time attack mode I was amazed to find that this game will save a GHOST of your run onto the gamepak for you to race against yourself, for every track IMPRESSIVE. The L and R triggers are a huge component of this game and as I am getting deeper into I am finding it much more fun to play on the GC GBA player as it allows for a little more control and visibility, but it still is playable on the GBA just a little more challenging. Really fun and deep just like I expect from the big N.

I love this game. You star as eight diffrent people, each with their own storyline. When you meet a person in one story, you meet yourself in the other person's view when playing their story. Each person is racing for their own reasons. But let's get to the gameplay. The story mode can be frustrating at times. Some missions require you to destroy all the other machines and such. If you want to buy this game for a 6-8 year old kid save your money. But overall, great game.
