Catz September 4, 2006 Alice L. Moore (midlothian, va United States) 24 out of 27 found this review helpful
This game is helpful for a younger person wanting a cat. It's campy fun for an older person as well. The player character is either a grade school boy or girl(you choose). Positive points: -It shows what must be done day to day in caring for a "low maintenance" pet; such as a cat. -There are many breeds to own as you progress in the game. Negative points: -You can only keep your pet 14 game days. -There are no "extras" such as games. -No accessories like collars, furniture, or music. -There is also this annoying purple haired girl to check on your progress. She even threatens to take your cat away if you don't care for it. The parents in the game even are scared of this twerpy girl. My son termed her the Kitty Protection Services Polizei. This is the most annoying aspect of the game.
A mom's review June 9, 2006 L. Thompson (El Paso, Tx) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
We bought this game for our 8 year old daughter for her birthday. She loves it. I like the fact that you have to do some reading. The only complaint she has is that you have to give up your cat after 14 days and pick a new one.(each day only takes a few minutes) During the 14 days you take care of your kitten by grooming it, playing with it, feeding it and cleaning up after it(sometimes it makes puddles on the floor or breaks a vase if you leave it alone for a couple of minutes.) Overall, if your child loves cats I would say that this game is worth it.
The O.K. catz. June 25, 2006 P. Restoraton (Somewhere) 10 out of 16 found this review helpful
The Catz game I just got for Game Boy Advance SP and it's not as good as dogs. Here are my reasons: 1.In Dogz you can choose the action you want to do (for example, to go to bed) but in this game you CAN'T!!!!!!!!! In the directions it says by 9:00 you can choose to go to bed but by 12:00 midnight it will always make you go to bed. But when I play you see the view of your cat and can't move the view to see something else! So, as result your character wakes up to late to feed the dog food and water. You only have time to give the dog one of them! Food OR water. It's your choice (for once!) Rediculous!!!!!!!!!! 2.You can't see your character!!! Only at night you'll see your character's purple hair in bed. (PURPLE HAIR?!) All your life is in the game is standing always in the same view as your cat, never knowing how your character looks and trying to feed comfort your cat FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! 3.You can't walk your cat!!!!!!!! It says you can but all you do is see your cat walk on the veranda?! So, in conclusion, it's really boring.
CUTE but not worth $30 April 25, 2006 nell 7 out of 21 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my 6 year old daughter. She loves it, although if I knew it didn't have the mini games like the dogz game does, I woudn't have bought this one. She loves this one though, I guess that's all that counts, especially since she's so picky about video games. I also ordered Pocket Dogs which has a really good review. Wait till the price drops, or look into one that has the mini games as well.
